Project Pan 2019 – Introduction!

I am so exited about this project! Since I had some fun with my 2018 project pan I figured I wanted to go on another year. I have been thinking since October what I want to add to the project, and I think I got a decent bunch of stuff! The one thing I did not add was a blush! I tried so hard on my 2018 project pan blush and I didn’t even hit pan on it. So right now I feel like I need to rotate and enjoy the blushes I have instead of keep focusing on one. So for this year, no blush. But I got a whole bunch of other stuff, so check it out!

IMG_20181228_131843_244.jpg

This is a mixture of pefumed body creams, body sprays and stick perfumes!

  • YSL Mon Paris Perfumed Body Lotion – This was a free gift I got with a purchase and I never really used it since I don’t have the perfume. Now it’s time to finish it.
  • Georgi Armani Si perfumed Body Lotion – Got this together with a bottle of the perfume. I really like it but I always forget to use perfumed body lotions like this.
  • YSL Black Opium – Same as with Si, got this together with a bottle of the perfume and will try to use them together.
  • Bella Lucce Arabian Odysse Linen & Body Mist – Smells wonderful of sandalwood and gives a nice cozy atmosphere. Like to use this as a boy spray or room spray.
  • Bella Lucce Japanese Yuzu Linen and Body Mist – Smells fresh of citrus and cranberry. I want to finish this one as well as the other one because the brand is discontinued.
  • LUSH Gorilla Perfume Stick Vanillary – Nice vanilla scent, and I have it as a perfume spray as well, but I never remember to use these sticks so I want to finish this so I only have the spray left.
  • LUSH Gorilla Perfume Karma – This is my all time favorite LUSH perfume but it’s the same as with the other one. I have the spray and never use the stick so now I want to finish it.

IMG_20181228_131947_869.jpg

IMG_20181228_131929_067.jpg

  • Bella Lucce Africvan Adventures Watermelon Baobab and Banana Contitioning Mask.
  • Bella Lucce Peruvian Cocoa Azul Renewing Mask.

I love these two masks from Bella Lucce. They are powders that you mix with milk, water or juice depending on your skin type. They work wonders as well, but the brand is as mentioned discontinued (it makes me so sad!) so I want to phase out all of my Bella Lucce products since I can’t get them anyway. I would love to see this brand do a comeback, they had so many lovely products that I will miss. These masks are among them but they are starting to get old and I need to use them.

IMG_20181228_131904_089.jpg

  • Skinfood Strawberry Exfoliating Mask – I had this for ever and it’s not much left. I just forgot about it for a long long time, and I just added it to the project to remember to finish the last bit. Smells exactly like strawberry jam!
  • Origins Ginzing Refreshing  Face Mask – Also a mask that is getting old. I didn’t love it but I liked to use it from time to time in the mornings. I have probably 1/4 left and it’s time to end it.
  • Haus Of Gloi Hair Oil “Imp” – I have plenty of hair oils from Haus Of gloi and I really love them (No joke I have like 10 bottles), but I don’t see myself picking up this exact scent again so I will try to finish it. It’s really nice to use just after the shower or a few drops in the ends before going to bed.
  • The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Face Mask – After discovering hydrating sheet masks this one got a bit lost in my collection. It’s good but right now I just prefer a quick and easy sheet mask for hydration. I will use the half that is left though.

IMG_20181228_132010_885.jpg

And now over to makeup! These are the BB Creams and Foundations I will finish.

  • A’Pieu Natural BB Cream Matt Finish – I have had this for a while but it’d been a while since I used it. I wanted to add this to the project because I wanted to get to know the product properly and then deciding if I need a new one or if I will just pass.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Moisturizing – I had 4 different versions of the Holika Holika BB Creams.
  • Milani Conceal + Perfect 3-in-1 Foundation + Concealer– To be honest I haven’t used this in maybe a year or so and I don’t remember what I think about it. It’s getting a bit old so I firgured I would finish it and then decide if it’s worthy a repurchase.
  • Coloupop No Filter Foundation – I know that this is not worthy a repurchase. On the other side it’s not so bad that I won’t be able to use it up. So I aim to do that just to get it out of my collection.
  • Tonymoly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream – This is a nice, natural but radiant bb cream that is nice and fresh for every day. Big bonus is that it has 37 SPF which means it will be a good choice when the sun comes back and I need some protection. This one also looks nice on the skin. I have only used it a few times so it’s almost full.

Out of all of these foundations I think only the Holika Holika one is the only one I’ve actually used quite a bit. The rest are moderately to lightly used and I guess there is around 3 full bottles here altogether. Excited to see if I actually go through that much in a year.

IMG_20181228_132033_529.jpg

My concealer choices are as follow:

  • NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer – This one I like, but I don’t love it. It gets the job done but it’s no match to the ones I really love. That’s why I would like to just finish this and be done with it.
  • Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – It took me a while to start really enjoying this. I am around halfway through and I just recently realized that I actually like this enough to repurchase.
  • Smashbox Studio Skin 24 hours Waterproof Concealer – This one I feel the same about as the NYX concealer. I like it but I don’t love it. Unless something change I just see myself using this up and be done with it.
  • Maybelline Anti-Age Eye Eraser Concealer – A lot of people really love this. I was sceptical in the beginning, but now I am convinced. I will pick this one up again when I am done, but I just feel like it’s getting old and would benefit from just being used up.
  • Wet N Wild Photofocus Concealer – This one does not really impress me that much. It does not have great coverage, and it’s a bit indifferent to be honest. I have less than 25% less so now I am doing my final effort to be done with it!

IMG_20181228_132056_863.jpg

And these are all the lippies I will focus on. Last year I had 4 lip products. Now I am increasing the effort with a total of 8 lip products. I am not sure if that will work because I only finished a few months before time in 2018, but on the other hand there are many glosses which I find easier to go through than regular lipsticks.

  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss – This one I also lost the shade name of, but it’s more of a purple gloss. These all came it a set a long time ago.
  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss – Shade name is worn of my it’s a nice pink.
  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss “Fashion Fanatic” – The only one that still has a name! A lighter pink gloss.
  • H&M Sheer Lipstick “Arabesque” – These lipsticks are fantastic if you want something sheer and easy to wear. Perfect for every day. I love this lippie and I am happy to have this in my project to have something I truly enjoy.
  • Isadora Jelly Kiss Lipstick “Bare Bliss” – Old fave that is maybe getting too old so it”s time to use it up.
  • Clinique Long Lasting GlossWear “Black Honey” – A gloss stick in one end and a liquid gloss in the other. Both in the iconic shade Black Honey. It can be a challenge since this one has product in both ends. I am afraid I may get a little bored by this shade.
  • Too Faced Mood Swing Emotionally Activated Lip Gloss – Big tube with more than 2/3 left. I bet it will take a bit of time to get through it. But this used to be one of my favorite glosses a few years back! It’s getting a bit old now, so I think I need to finish it.
  • Estee Lauder High Gloss “Pearl” – This is old. I don’t even know if I should say how old! This is just not my favorite shade. It’s a bit too light for me, but I am hoping to make it work over a lipstick or something.

IMG_20181229_143806_718.jpg

This year I only picked one bronzer, since I did not manage my goal with two last year. If I manage to finish this I may pick up that Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer again to finally hit pan, but this one is almost brand new! This is Kiko Flawless Fusion Powder Bronzer.

IMG_20181229_143731_008.jpg

Since I only had one gigantic powder last year, I am ready to finish and replace some more this year. I tend to go through powders in about 3 months so this should be more than possible.

  • Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder – This one is already half done. I really really like this powder. It’s so finely milled and feels like silk! Will for sure replace this when it’s gone.
  • Lancôme Poudre Majeure Excellence– This is also a nice finely milled powder. For some reason I don’t tend to reach for it. Nothing wrong with it, but I just figured I might as well end it.
  • Dior Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder – This loose powder is amazing and looks so flawless on the skin! I had it for some years so I can just use it up, but I will pick up a new one.
  • Hope Girl Powder Compact – This is again a nice powder I just don’t reach for. Mostly because that plastic protection lid annoys me a bit, and I don’t see the point of it when it’s a pressed powder.

IMG_20181229_143831_908.jpg

This year I decided to add a highlighter instead of a blush! This is Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money. Obviously I already hit pan, so my goal is to finish it completely. I think the super shock highlighters are pretty easy to pan, at least much easier than a regular powder highlight. The good thing about this is that it’s so subtle that I can use this as a base, and put another highlighter on top in case I want to get some use out of the rest of my collection.

IMG_20181229_143909_291.jpg

This Zoeva Brow Spectrum has been my go-to brow powders for all of last year. Still no pan in any of the shades, but they do show some considerable wear. My goal is to hit pan on three of the shades! I don’t think that will be a problem since I love this palette and reach for it all the time. This is the ultimate brow powders with all the options you need, and some brow bone highlighters in addition!

And now over to the really fun part, eyeshadow palettes! I picked out seven palettes this year so I am not intending on panning them completely, I just want to hit one shade in each palette. I have a lot of amazing palettes to play with so I am excited!

IMG_20181229_144140_956.jpg

Colourpop Fame I picked out because I wanted to have a nice cool toned palettes. I really like wearing cool toned eyeshadows during the dark season. Last year my cool toned palette was Zoeva En Taupe which I really like, but this year I decided to get some use out of this beauty from Colourpop.

IMG_20181229_144016_236.jpg

This is such a classic! The Lorac Pro Palette. Do you remember when everyone wanted this? To be fair almost everyone owned this. This was “the perfect neutral palettes” when the Urband Decay Naked hype had cooled off. I agree it does have everything you need, and I do thing the composition is better than in UD Naked. As you may see, I already do have a pan in this palette, and it is well loved. My goal is to reach one more pan.

IMG_20181229_143937_624.jpg

This one will be a challenge! The Morphe X Jaclynn Hill palette will be a challenge. I have used this a bit, and the eyeshadows don’t seem particularly easy to pan in contrast to Lorac and Colourpop, but I thing that since this is such a versatile palette I will get good use out of it, and hopefully hit pan in one shade. Either way, this palette really should be used some more.

IMG_20181229_144039_803.jpg

I had to have a Zoeva palette this year as well. Now I decided to hit pan in Zoeva Blanc Fusion. This palette is great for everyday neutral looks and I love the quality of it. The mattes are nice and those golds are like butter! This have barely been used so I am happy to blow some dust from it this year.

IMG_20181229_144111_408.jpg

The gorgeous Anastasia Soft Glam also had to join the panning party! Adding an Anastasia palette to a project pan is like doing yourself a big favor. They are very easy to pan. This just happen to be one of my very favorite Anastasia palettes so it felt natural to add this to the project. It does already show some wear but my guess is that I will have to use this for 4-6 weeks more before hitting any pan. So I probably have plenty of days to play with this!

IMG_20190113_153016_884.jpg

I tried to not pick more than one palette from each brand for this project. It felt natural to add a Tarte palette since I have a few of them and they are fairly easy to pan as well. Since I decided do add so many palettes I think it is necessary that I have palettes that are easy to pan. A Urband Decay Naked palette or a colourful Juvia’s Place palette would be too hard I think. But the Tarte formula is quite soft so you go through them quickly. This is Tarte Tartelette Toasted by the way. The neutrals are so gorgeous in this, and I love the metallic shades!

IMG_20190113_153046_143.jpg

Lastly I needed a fun colorful palette to play with, and the natural choice was September Rose Slush palette. When I first got this I had so much fun playing around with it, and it has so many yummy shades! Can’t wait to play around with this and create spring looks, sunset looks, rainbow looks and other colorful fun things!

And that’s all! I may add some stuff if I feel like it, but at least with eyeshadows and lip products I feel like I have more than enough to work with!

What is in my makeup bag – January 2019!

New year, new project pan, lots of new exciting stuff in my monthly makeup bag. My 2018 project pan has come to an end. I had so much fun with it, but it’s nice to lay down all the products I’ve been using over and over again in 2018, and replace them with my 2019 project pan items! There will be a induction post coming shortly, and also a summary of my 2018 project pan and how it went, so stay tuned for that.

IMG_20190103_123837_010.jpg

But for now let’s go through my January goodies!

IMG_20190103_123901_849.jpg

I picked two eyeshdow palettes, both from my project pan. The Colourpop Fame palette is a beautiful cool toned neutral palette, and I wanted a cool toned palette in my project because I love cool tones in winter and changing things up are always nice. The second one it the old but famous Lorac Pro palette! I have already used this a lot back in the days when it was new, but I wanted to pull out this old friend again for my project pan. I already have one pan in this palette, so my goal is to reach a second pan.

IMG_20190103_123921_570.jpg

For primers and foundations/BB Creams I picked two of each.

  • The Ordinary High-Adherance Silicone Primer – I probably have just a week of use left in this primer, so I put it in this months bag just to finally finish it. Not the biggest fan of it. Does not seem to do that much for me.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil – This one on the other hand I love! Such a nice hydrating primer, and perfect for winter when I can get a little dry.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Moustruizing – Nice BB Cream that is a part of my project pan. Nice light coverage and comfy wear.
  • Colourpop No Filter Foundation – Still not sure how I feel about this, but I did add it to my project pan. I want to use it to figure out if I like it enough to repurchase, or if I won’t miss it in my collection.

IMG_20190103_123950_552.jpg

  • Dior Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder – Amazing loose setting powder.
  • Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder – This is one of my favorite powders. So fine milled and gives a beautiful look to the skin. Not sure if this will last me all month so that’s why I needed two.
  • Smashbox Studio Skin 24 hour Waterproof Concealer – Nice brightening concealer. Don’t really need it to be waterproof, but it last long on the skin.
  • Wet N Wild Photofocus Concealer – This is almost empty. Hope to finish this my the end of January. It’s OK, but I don’t love it so I just want to finish it.

IMG_20190103_124012_530.jpg

Finally I get to play around with some more blushes!

  • H&M Pure Radiance Powder Blush “Cantaloupe” – Beautiful, easy to wear fool proof everyday color. And it looks lovely on the skin!
  • Physicians Formula Butter Blush “Rosy Pink” – Natural matte pink. These last very long on the skin, and again it’s so easy to apply. Perfect for busy mornings.
  • Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush “Ethereal Glow” – These blushes are so beautiful I do understand why they get all that hype! Very soft pink color with a gorgeous glow!
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush “Journey” – The Tarte blushes have been a favorite for quite some time now. This is a nice peachy shade with a very soft satin finish. I am so happy to get to use so many of my favorite blushes this month after struggling so much with my project pan 2018 blush.
  • Makeup Mekka Hypnotic Metallics Single highlighter “Glitz” – This is a new one that I barely swatches, so I am excited to try it out and see what I think of it.

IMG_20190103_124036_339.jpg

  • Zoeva Winter Strobe Spectrum – Perfect for winter I guess. And nice to have some options for highlighter.
  • Kiko Flawless Fusion Bronzing Powder – My project pan bronzer. It’s pale enough so I can use it with ease even on my pale winter skin.
  • Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter “Lunch Money” – My only project pan highlighter. As you can tell I already have quite a pan, so my goal is to finish this one completely. If I manage that it will be the first highlighter I complete, but the super shock formula is very easy to go through so I think I can make it.

IMG_20190103_124100_228.jpg

All of the lip product this month is from my project pan! So I will get a good start by getting some use out of all of them!

  • Estee Lauder High Gloss “Pearl” – Had this for so many years. It’s a bit pale for me so I think this will work best as a topper over other lipsticks.
  • Too Faced Mood Swing Emotionally Activated Lip Gloss – Because it comes out almost clear but looks berry on the lips. Smells delicious too! It’s getting really old so I just want to finish it before it goes bad, but I really used to love this and wear it a lot!
  • H&M Sheer Lipstick “Arabesque” – These lipsticks are fantastic if you want something sheer and easy to wear. Perfect for every day. I love this lippie and would be happy to pick up more shades.
  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss – Shade name is worn of my it’s a nice pink.
  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss – This one I also lost the shade name of, but it’s more of a purple gloss. These all came it a set a long time ago.
  • MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss “Fashion Fanatic” – The only one that still has a name! A lighter pink gloss.
  • Isadora Jelly Kiss Lipstick “Bare Bliss” – Old fave that is maybe getting too old so it”s time to use it up. Used to be an old favorite as well so it’s not that much left!
  • Clinique Long Lasting GlossWear “Black Honey” – A gloss stick in one end and a liquid gloss in the other. Both in the iconic shade Black Honey.

Clarins Water Lip Stain – Review!

To be completely honest with you, the main reason why I decided to pick these guys up was because I opened a tester in the store and noticed how delicious they smell. I am quite a sucker for nice scents especially something that smells like something you can eat, like delicious berries. But, the scent put a side, this was also an interesting product I wanted to do a review of.

IMG_20180626_112234_385.jpg

The Clarins Water Lip Stain, are cute little bottles of very liquid lip stain, as the name would already tell you. I picked up two shades “03 Red Water” and “01 Rose Water”. The 01 Rose Water looks quite orange in the tube, but on the lip it turns pink.

IMG_20180626_112257_231.jpg

The product comes in a see-trough glass tube, with a metallic red cap and a brush applicator. It looks and feels like a expensive product. I would say that Clarins price tag is in the lower end of high-end makeup and these guys retail for 28$. I don’t think that price-tag is horrific for a lipstick, but for a lip stain I feel it is maybe a bit up there in price. After all Korean Beauty are the expert of staining lip products and you could probably find a whole bunch of cheap lip stains with a similar feel to this one. Just on the top of my head I can mention those Labiotte Wine Lip Tints, that come in a super cute wine packaging (just google them, I am too lazy to take a picture!).

IMG_20180709_222659_151.jpg

The imprortant thing is off course how they work. The nice thing about these is that you can choose what intensity you want. You can paint it on and let the product dry and get a opaque stain like “03 Red Water” in the picture above. Or you can put a little bit on the lips and blot it away and get a much more discreet look like I did with “01 Rose Water” below.

IMG_20180709_222717_013.jpg

How long it will last on the lips depends on how you apply it. A light stain like I show here with “01 Rose Water” will last for several hours. I found that it usually took 4-5 hours before I wanted to reapply. If you want the more opaque look then you will have to be prepared to reapply more often. The opaque application lasted me 2 hours.

IMG_20180626_134108_670.jpg

They usually fade away very even on me, which I appreciate. However, I did notice once that I had a bit of a try patch on my lips, that it did not fade the same way around this spot than on the rest of the lips. This makes me think that if you have very dry or chapped lips this may not be the right product for you if it wants to emphasize dryness.

Other than that they feel super light weight on the skin. Almost like you are wearing nothing. My favorite way of wearing them are to apply a soft tint, let it dry and then apply some balm over top so my lips get some moisture. It gives a very beautiful and natural look as well. Also, the fact that you can so easily control the intensity means that even the bright red could be worn as a soft tint during work hours, or as a opaque tint in the evening. So I find this to be very versatile.

Overall, these were a hit for me, but I think if you want to pickup one you really only need one shade, because worn as a tint they give quite a similar look.

And yes, strawberry candy scented! The reason why I picked them up in the first place.

NYX Powder Puff Lippies – Review & Swatches!

I was intrigued by these because of the name. A powder lippie? I was not really sure what to expect but I purchased “Squad Goals” and I never looked back. Actually I went back and I got three more shades eventually. Just to test out the consistency of the formula and try different kind of shades. In the end, I had these four beauties and today I want to tell you all about how they work for me!

IMG_20180709_222326_497.jpg

The packaging is a long squeeze tube with a classic NYX appearance. I find it to be quite neutral actually. I can’t say this is my favorite packaging. It’s not something that will make me feel fancy when I pull it out to apply, but I don’t hate it either. It’s like that with a lot of NYX products actually. Packaging looks OK, but not particularly beautiful or stylish. It looks simple, and it looks drugstore.

IMG_20180709_222412_481.jpg
Shade names from top to bottom: Group Love, Puppy Love, Cool Intentions, Squad Goals.

The formula is very unique. I don’t think I have anything like this! It’s not at all a powdery as I was wondering to begin with. It is more so that the finish on the lips makes it looks almost like you put translucent powder on top of a regular lipstick. It looks matte, velvety, blurred and just so pretty. I am a big fan!

So I made lip swatches of them all for you!

IMG_20180625_102434_121.jpg

Group Love is a nice wearable red.

IMG_20180701_000805_264.jpg

Puppy Love is a nice bright coral. This is the most outgoing of all the four shades.

IMG_20180625_102321_251.jpg

Cool Intentions is a cool-toned mauvy neutral. It’s quite a bit on the cool side so not the one I would pair with an orange warm look that has been so popular lately, but still a very pretty shade. This one and Squad Goals” are the two I’ve used the most.

IMG_20180701_192836_826.jpg

Lastly, the shade that made me pick up three more. Squad Goals is a beautiful dusty rose kind of shade. Perfect for everyday use.

IMG_20180709_222348_515.jpg

The applicator is pretty unique. I don’t have anything similar in my collection. It took a while to get used too, and even though it works fine for applying these lipsticks, it’s not very precise. I felt that was OK with the nude shades but with the red I felt kind of nervous because it was a tad bit too easy to make mistakes. Noting a red lip liner won’t fix but still, not the easiest applicator.

The wear time is not that long. This is the kind of lipstick that needs to be reapplied. After around 2 hours I felt like it was necessary to re-freshen the color with all my selected shades. It also means that it’s not transfer proof, bur it feels very comfortable on the lips. These are like a regular lipstick kind of formula, but with that unusual velvet finish.

One of the bet things about them is that they are so easy to wear. They look very flattering on the lips, and especially the nudes are quick and easy to apply. The formula doesn’t bleed, and when it starts fading after a few hours it disappears evenly. I don’t have to worry about but-lips or a thin line of color left around the rim of my mouth. It fades evenly when it starts so wear off, and for me that is one of the more charming qualities a lipstick can have. I don’t really mind if they won’t last forever as long as they are not complicated to reapply, and as long as they fade even. So me and these Powder Puff Lippies are great friends!

Did you try these? Are you of the same impression as me, or were they a miss for you? I would love to know what you think in the comment!

Liveglam KissMe Liquid Lipstick Subscription – September 2018!

IMG_20180920_124454_152.jpg

I was so happy to see that this months lipstick bundle was all nudes! I know thet the KissMe liquid lipticks are really great as nudes so I had high hopes for this months bundle. And I was not disappointed!

IMG_20180918_103410_453.jpg

There are two liquid lipsticks and one gloss this month. They all have the usual packaging with 2 ml in each tube with deliciously scented lip products.

Lets talk shades shall we? I want to begin with my very favorite of the bunch!

IMG_20180920_124512_881.jpg

Celebri-tea is a gorgeous mauve nude. I knew instantly that this would be one of my favorites. I love shades that are nude but still has some darkness to them. On me this is exactly that shade. As usual the KissMe formula works very well with nudes and this stayed in place for 6 hours. I find that this usually is the limit for me with these lipsticks. They may still look nice, but at this point my lips have had enough and I feel like adding some lip balm on top, and with that elongating the wear time to around 8 hours. They don’t feel drying in my opinion, but after a certain amount of hours I feel like adding some lipbalm to every dry-down formula. In other words I am very happy with longevity on this one and the color is stunning. In this months trio this will for sure be my go-to shade!

IMG_20180920_131436_596.jpg

Nudi-tea is the second liquid lipstick this month. As you can probably tell this is very light. Right now I have a bit of a tan, but it match my skin tone quite good. That means I find it to be a bit pale for me right now, but I will give it another try this winter to see if it match my winter skin any better. I did how ever love the look of it with Hot-tea on top because it makes it a bit darker and I get a nice glossy nude lip. I’ve worn it several times this way and I really like the looks of it! On it’s own this lippie looked good for around four hours. After that I found that it faded a long the inner rim of my lips, and since my natural lip color is quite a bit darker it was not hard to tell. These lipsticks can easily be reapplied without looking goopy or crumbling apart so no bigger deal than to just reapply. But for sure this one did not have the same longevity as Celebre-tea. Still decent though!

IMG_20180920_124532_723.jpg

Hot-tea is this months gloss. A nice brown gloss with medium opacity. It feels comfortable on the lip. Not sticky, but it’s not as liquidy that it dissappears too fast. It last around 1-2 hours on me depending on if I was drinking, eating or just nothing. Decent quality gloss, but since these tubes only hold 2 ml I find that you will go through them quite quickly if you use them often. No bug deal though, if you have a lipstick subscription you probably have more than just one anyway, and it’s better for them to be small than to get to old and have to be thrown out.

Overall I am very happy. Nudi-tea could have been a dark er nude and it would have been even better, but I love this look of Nudi-tea and Hot-tea combined so actually all of the lippie was a hit for me this month.

As usual the formula is really good. I’ve had some trouble with their darker shades, but the nudes I am usually very fond of. I won’t mind seeing more all nude bundles like this in the future!

Whats in my makeup bag – September 2018!

September and fall is finally here. I love fall with all the beautiful colors and crisp fresh air. I much prefer this season to summer actually! I am looking forward to fresh mountain bike rides with colorful leaves all over, to ride my horse in the forest, and to sit in a wooden heated sauna and relax. I look forward to the dark fall lipstick shades and the fall makeup looks. What do you like about fall? Anyway, let’s talk makeup bag!

This month I decided to leave my project pan palettes out of the bag. I already hit pan on Colourpop Yes Please and Anastasia Modern Renaissance, and the palettes I have left are Certifeye Tropical Wonders which is not my style for my makeup looks for work (I tend to go quite neutral believe it or not), and Zoeva En Taupe which is too cool-toned for my tan skin right now (You will be hearing more about this soon). So I got a few fun palettes to play with instead.

I choose three palettes. First Urban Decay Naked Heat, because I used it a few times when it was new and then forgot about it. It got way less use than it deserve because it is a beautiful palette. I figured the warm browns and neutrals would be good now for my tan skin (I will keep mentioning this tan until it disappears. Just so you know).

I also picked Tarte Make Belive In Yourself, because these soft colored metallic shades are perfect everyday colors in my opinion. And it’s a bit fun to incorporate some color in your everyday makeup as well. Sadly this is limited edition, but I hope Tarte brings it back. This is one of their better palettes, and for once it actually have some colors!

The third palette is Zoeva Artisto Eyeshadow Palette. Also this one has some colors, but they are quite muted and wearable and should be a good colorful option for everyday wear as well.

The Zoeva Artisto Blush Palette has one very warm matte blush, a similarly colored shimmery blush and a banana powder. This one is new to me but I think the colors will work on me now that I am tanned (yes, I said it again) while in winter they will be too dark.

For my face base I selected this little bunch!

  • History Of Woo Jewel Powder – Still working on this for my project pan. It’s just so huge! But I enjoy the powder and don’t mind at all that I have quite a bit left.
  • Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Play Makeup Foundation (Shell Beige) – I really enjoy the double wear formula and this is a nice color for me now that I’m tan (again). If also has SPF 10, and I always appreciate that in ly face makeup. We can still get a bit of sun in September too after all.
  • Estée Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer – I think I had this in my makeup bag in July, at least it was recent, but I found it appropriate since I picked the matching foundation.
  • Hourglass Strobe Lighting Powder (Brilliant Strobe Light) – Love this powder and the all over glow it gives. I use it almost like a setting powder only that I focus it on the parts of my face I want highlighted.

And these are the rest of my face powders.

  • Too Faced Chocolate Soileil Bronzing Powder – I hope to hit pan this month. I don’t think I have too much left before I do because I can see the pattern in the tin pan, I Just don’t see any tin. This is a project pan item for those of you wondering.
  • Inglot Jennifer Lopez  Illuminator (Livin’ The Highlight) – Loose highlighters are not my go-to, but for some strange reason I felt I needed this. I don’t know why because I don’t feel very strongly towards either Jennifer Lopez or Inglot, but the combination for some reason intrigued me. Besides I want to glow like J-lo off course. So I bring this in my bag to try it out.
  • Glominerals Globlush (Papaya) – The project pan blush that will never end, or never show any wear actually. This is never ending, but I won’t give up. I still have September, October, November and December to try to get a pan. Wish me luck!
  • MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish (Whisper of Gilt) – This one I’ve tried a bit, and I love it! It’s also perfect for my summer tan (is it getting too much now?) since it’s such a  lovely golden shade.

And some essentials too!

  • Revolution Pro Fix Illuminatin Fixing Spray – Or maybe not! This one is actually empty but I refilled this with my Mario Badescu facial spray because that bottle is huge, and this is nice and handy!
  • Aritaum All Day Lasting Primer – To be honest I don’t notice the world of a difference with this. I just use it because it has SPF 44, and I want my skin to be protected against the September sun as well, especially since I am outside most of the day.
  • L’Oreal Paradise Pomade Extatic (Light Blonde) – This is kind of too light for me, but I got it on sale for next to nothing. I may make it work for everyday wear when I don’t want a strong brow.
  • L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara – Because I need a mascara and this one works to my satisfaction.
  • H&M Brow Maker Duo (Ash Brown) – Because I need a back up in case the L’Oreal one just does not work. This has a perfect color for me. Besides it has a brow gel which I need.

And lastly, all the fun lippies! I know I should be working on my project pan lippie, but I only got one of those left, and I feel that the color is not very suitable on me right now because you know….tan. So I will pick up working on it later this year. I think I just got a few weeks left of usage in it so I should be fine. In the mean time I get to play around with a bunch of new ones!

  • Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip ( Vitamin Sea) – I love the blotted lip formule for work appropriate looks. I just thinkt they are so flattering, and kind of unique. The lips look super super matte, like you had powder on top of them, and blotted at the same time. Love the look! This shade is a part of the summer collection that I didn’t try so I am exited.
  • Colourpop ultra Blotted Lip ( Soda Pop) – Exactly the same as above.
  • KissMe Liquid Lipstick (Hakuna Moscato) – A nice nude pink liquid lisptick.
  • KissMe Lipgloss (Yatchie) – A clear gloss with a pink/blue shift that is not too over the top. Really pretty.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick ( Celebrity Skin) – Superior dry-down formula in a nice nude.
  • Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick (Androgyny) – Same as above, just a bit darker.
  • Dose Of Colors (Stone) – One of my favorites in August, but I want to continue using it.
  • H&M Creme Lipstick (Cream Chestnut) – Underrated affordable but great formula in a nice nude.

That’s all I think! As usual I am excited to start a new month with new contend in my makeup bag, It’s fun to switch things up , and also to be able to focus on a limited amount of products. I do off course play around with makeup that I need to do reviews of and do looks with, but these are the items I use for my everyday work makeup.

Do you have a monthly makeup bag or basket to help you focus on some products? Or are you just winging it?

Liveglam Kiss Me Liquid Lipstick subscription – August 2018!

The august lipstick bundle have arrived and received a proper test round! So now it’s about time to share my opinions on this months bundle.

If you are unfamiliar with the Liveglam KissMe subscription it is a monthly subscription where you receive 3 lip products each month for just below 20$. The lip products have different formulas like gloss, satin lipsticks or regular matte liquid lipsticks, where the matte formula is by far the most common. You can easily skip a month or, switch out one of the shades with previously released shades if you like. For me I find this to be a very good way to test out different colors, because I for sure get to test and try some shades I would never really pick up myself in the store. Sometimes they are hits, and sometimes they are not. But it’s always fun to try something new!

But lets talk about the august bundle! This months theme were wine. So we got one dark plum, one mid-tone fuchia and one dusty rose nude to fit the color theme. The packaging is a bit different from usual with the metallic red cap and black letters and details. They do look really pretty!

Sip Happens is the darkest plum shades. It really is dark and vampy! Usually have had some trouble with the dark matte lippies from Liveglam, so they are not my favorites to received. This time however, the formula seemed different. More mousey and not so liquidy. They still applied nicely, but I was hoping the change in formula would mean better quality of this dark, vampy beauty. I sort of did. I wore it for four hours straight without any fading, the lips still looked great. But as soon at I ate something the lipstick started falling off. Really dark shades like this rarely fade in a flattering way. So if I am not going to eat or drink much, I would be happy to wear this shade again, but I will stay away from this if I am having lunch or dinner. It is just too obvious when it fades due to the color being so dark. It did need two layers to apply evenly, but I do love the color I ended up with. It’s just not fitting for any occasion.

Pour Decisions is a stunning fuchia. It’s mid toned but kind of muted and looks absolutely beautiful on the lips without being too pink. This has a much better staying power than Sip Happens, and also it’s not that visible when it starts to fade. I did wear this easily for 6 hours, but after that my lips usually get enough of dry liquid lipsticks and I prefer putting some lipbalm over top. I then got an additional 3 hour wear out of it. Color is also very pretty. Since I have quite pigmented lips I tend to be comfortable with lipsticks in the mid-toned range and this one is no exception. I really really like this, and think out of all the shades this month this one will be the most used!

Lastly the pretty rosy nude named Hakuna Moscato is another favorite. The Liveglam nudes are usually long wearing and this one lasts easily for 6 hours too! It’s also a perfect everyday nude. Liveglam does nudes very well and I usually really like them, so I bet this one will be used quite regularly as well.

The overall verdict is again that the dark lip could work better, but I am fairly happy with received two lippies I will get a lot of use out of.

Have you ever tried these lipsticks? What are your verdict?
