My Makeup Collection 2019 – Single Pan Eyeshadows!

One of the most treasured things in my collection are my single eyeshadows. There is just something unique about putting together your own custom palette, and selecting new shades to grow the collection. And is there anything more enjoyable to look at than a nicely curated magentic palette filled with single pan shadows? I don’t think so!

This is a part of my collection that I have grown a bit since last year. Last year I put the names of the shadows on each picure, but this post would take me days to do now if I did that (I am probalby not the most efficient picture editor either) so this time I will write all the shade names in the picture caption.

BIG PALETTE: Luna, New Heaven, Grenadine, Fahrenheit, Virgin Island, Absinthe, Clementine, City Wolf, Atmosphere, Citron, Extravirgin, Babylon. SMALL PALETTE: Mystic, Paprika, Caramel, Ludwig, Glitz, Water Dream.

I love the Nabla single pans. Especially the matte formula. I currently have 18 shades that are all very beautiful. I would love to have some more but I rarely think about picking up some. They are a big more expensive than many other options out there, but the pans are also bigger!

1st row: Vanilla Bean, Bling, Shimma Shimma, Bleached Blonde, Gold Digger, Prom Night, Taupe Notch. 2nd row: Sorbet, Confection, Peach Smoothie, Goddess, Bitten, Brownie Points, Americano. 3rd row: Maitai, Cinderella, Petal Pusher, Cosmopolitan, In The Spotlight, Last Dance, Sensous. 4th row: Rockstar, Friend Zone, Tan Lines, Steampunk, Tuscan Sun, Pillow Talk, Drama Queen.

This one brings back so many memories! When Makeupgeek came and changed the eyeshadow pan game. Before Makeupgeek everyone just used MAC, but they brought in a more affordable, but even better (in my opinion) option.

1st row: Pop Culture, Unicorn, Rebel, Hopscotch, Phantom, Boo Berry, Chit Chat, Appletini, Dragonfly, Shark Bait, Peacock, Secret Garden, Shimmermint, Shore Thing, Sea Mist, Ritzy, Typhoon, Flame Thrower, Cocoa Bear, Jester, Poison Ivy, Pegasus.

I also have a more colorful palette filled with Makeupgeek shadows. I hope I can manage to fill this palette during the rest of the year. It would be great having two full Makeupgeek palettes! I really should look into if they have some greens and blues in their collection that I could add. A few more colors in that colorfamily and I would be a happy camper.

1st palette: Three Ring Yellow, Lime, Shimmermoss, Lucky Green, Humid, Swimming, New Crop, Tilt, Winkle, Freshwater, Electric Eel, Deep Truth. 2nd palette: Goldenrod, Free To Be, DF7, Sushi Flower, Nocturnal, Burnt Orange, Stars N’Rocket, Shale, Fig.1, Beauty Marked, Sattelite Dream, Heather Bells. 3rd palette: Brule, Shroom, Kid, Expensive Pink, Double Feature 4, Jest, Samoa Silk, Paradisco, Texture, Woodwinked, Vapour, Gleam, Mythology, Embark. 4th palette: Vanilla, Cork, Patina, Scene, Silver Ring, Carbon.

MAC, the iconic MAC single shadows. Back in the time, when Youtube was a new thing, this was almost the only thing beauty youtubers used! I remember I felt so professinal when I picked up my first single shadow. So silly, but it was a big deal, and it’s soo many years ago. I am happy to have collected so many iconic shades. My goal is to one day have all these palletes filled. One Green/Yellow/Blue, one with sunset shades, and two with neutral eyeshadows.

I also have these Inglot eyeshadows. I do like them, but they are honestly not my favorite formula. I would like to fill up the palette, but I don’t really think I will grow my Inglot collection to something large anythime soon. I also could not be bothered writing down the shades names because they are a bitch to get out of those palettes, and they don’t have fun names anyways, just numbers.

Top Palette: Defiance, Arsenic, Ascension, Spirit, Calcination, Euphoria, Relapse, Transmutation, Aether, Unity. Bottom Palette: Recluse, Symbiosis, Ephemeral, Habitat, Vertex, Nocturnal.

Lethal Cosmtics is an indie brand with beautiful eyeshadows. This collection is much much smaller than what I want it to be, but I aim on growing it. The formula is just gorgeous on these and they have a bunch of interesting colors. I also really like that the magnetic palettes from the brand are small and compect and feels like very decent qiality and holds a great mirror. Highly recomment this brand if you want to test out more indie brands.

Top Palette: Now And Zen, Made To Last, Ready or Yatch, Cannonball, Cut-Outs, Tiki, Two Birds, Poodle, Pebbles, Going Steady, 143, Dragonfly, Facet, Come And Get It, Koi, Conundrum, Sea Stars, Boxer, Snake Eyes, Top Notch, Let’s Do It, Paper Crane, Tea Garden, Play By Play, Hear Me Out, Glass Bull, Game Changer. Bottom Palette: Baby Lights, Take Flight, Karat Cake, Martian, Over It, Crackle, Chic Happens, Thank U Next, Mr.Sandman, Solstice With The Mostest, Meteorite, Sleeper, Paradiso, Try Me, Eartshrine, On A Whimsy, Neutrino, Beam Me Up, Heavenly, Quantum Sleep, Antimatter, Superzoom, Conjour Up, Wishful Winking.

The biggest brand collection of single shadows I have are for sure from Colourpop. I blame it on their many releases, and BYOP offers. I am sure I will jump on those BYOP offers more times because it really allows you to build a while palette of single shadows for just a fraction of the original cost. I think when they have these sales it’s really as cheap as single shadows get, at least among thos with good quality.

Muscle Beach, Backseat, Checkmate, Up and Up, Sideline, Team Captain, Goody Two-Shoes, Two Piece, Tiny Tangerines, Piece Of Cake, Lost And Found, Bassline, Slay-Farer, Formation, Chauffer, Deja Boo, Bratty, Hop On, Rascal, Feathered, Backstage, Two To Mango, Fault Line, La Playa, Comeback Kid, Night Show, Kill Switch.

I was not quite done with Colourpop, because this pretty bright palette is also Colourpop only. I need a new magnetic pan to fill now!

Acapulco, LMAO, Viridian, Odium, Buddy Blue, Paladin, Cupid.

My Devinah collection is the smallest single pan brand collection I have with only 7 shades. That does not reflect the quality at all, because these shadows are really really nice. I aim to collect a lot more in the future so this is just the start.

And to finish up this post this is my Looxie eyeshadow collection. This also is a brand I want to collect a lot more from since it’s such a lovely formula. Especially their metallics and metallics 2 formula are so so beautiful. I think the next Looxie order is not far off!

What is your favorite brand to collect single eyeshadow pans from?

Makeup Hauls – April 2019!

I know I know, I am by far late at getting to this post. But after spending April moving and having the majority of my stuff (also some of the new stuff) in boxes I didn’t get around to it so far, but better late than never.

Things are going great in the new house by the way! By horse is stables not so far away which is handy for my afternoon rides, and I have 10 chickens running around. So much fun!

I didn’t recieve to much in April, but we will go through the little I got. I can tell you that the haul post for May will have a lot of content though!

I did get some new Liveglam KissMe Liquid Lipsticks. It’s a lipstick subscription that sends out three liquid lipsticks and/or glosses each month. I really do like the formula of these, but honestly I got these because I forgot to cancel this month. I am not sure if I will continue with them, despite that I really like them, because after a year of getting 3 lipsticks each month it’s starting to feel a bit crouded. These ones are all lovely nudes that I am happy to have.

Can you relate when I say that the Colourpop Disney Villan collection must be one of their best ones ever? I really like the looks of the higlighters and picked up three of them along with a new shade of Glitterally Obsessed which has also become one of my favorite Colourpop items. They are such an easy and mess free way of adding glitter to my makeup looks. Big fan of those!

The Colourpop Sweet Talk palette is also absolutely stunning! I also love that they added a super shock formula and a glitter formula to the mix! Can’t wait to play with these!

Still on the Colourpop train! The Colourpop Just My Luck caught my heart and my eyes at the same time with these lovely greens. I also love that there are several cool-toned greens because I find that greens are very often warm toned. I am al about adding diversity to my collection.

The Colourpop No Filter Concealer is a repurchase as I have already used up my old one. I guess it goes without saying that I really like it!

I also picked up some high end goodies! The Becca Gold Lava highlighter that I think will look amazing in summer, and a super cute Blush&Glow mini fromNatasha Denona. Love that they have minis! It’s a great way to get to try a luxury brand for a fair price. And I never finish a blush or a highlighter anyway.

Finally I have grown my singles collection with 6 stunning shades and a magnetic palette from on of my favorite single shadow brands Lethal Cosmetics!

Did you pick up anything good in April or May?

Nothing says “Lethal” like flowers and pearls – Makeup look…

Well, maybe flowers and pearls are not the things that screams “Lethal” the most, but I picked up some eyeshadows from Lethal Cosmetics a little while ago and the blue shade “Ascension” and the matte yellow “Relapse” inspired me to do this look. An edgy brand like this does spark creativity!

I also wanted to play more around with my Revolution Pro Supreme Dip Liner because it is actually a good white liquid liner! So the end result is this!

  • Lethal Cosmetics Single Pan Eyeshadows – Ascension, Calcination, Relapse, Defiance, Arsenic.
  • Revolution Pro Supreme Dip Liner . White.
  • Kiko Kajal Khôl Pencil – 109 (matte blue).
  • Clarins Waterproof Eye Pencil – 04 Turquoise (brows).
  • Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.
  • House Of Lashes – Iconic Lights.

I am impressed with how these shadows work, and I am always happy to spend my money on smaller indie brands, so if you are like me then I recommend checking out Lethal Cosmetics Home Page and take a look at their eyeshadows.

Lethal Cosmetics Eyeshadows – Review, Swatches and Makeup Looks!

I have been thinking for a while that I wanted to incorporate reviews of smaller makeup brands on this blog. For once I think it is really fun to discover something new and special that not everyone else raves about. The other thing is that there are so many small businesses with hard working passionate people behind it, and I want to highlight more products from these kind of brands.

So a while ago I started looking into indie brands with eyeshadow pans I potentially wanted to collect. I found three brands to test out and Lethal Cosmetics was one of those three. I picked up the Alchemy Collection, containing 6 square shaped eyeshadows to start somewhere. The brand is vegan, cruelty-free and have a range of eyeshadows, liquid lipsticks and magnetic palettes. A small but nice selection.

The eyeshadow collection has three shimmers and three mattes. The shades names form left to right is, top to bottom is: Unity, Aether, Spirit, Transmutation, Calcination and Arsenic. I find the collection to be a bit vampy and edgy, and I am particularly drawn to Unity and Spirit.

I did a few makeup looks to test every shade on my eyes, and came up with these two. All products are listed underneath.

  • Lethal Cosmetics Eyeshadows: Transmutation, Unity, Spirit, Aether and Arsenic.
  • Mac Paint Pot – Blackground.
  • Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Pencil – Ultra Black.
  • Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.
  • Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24 H – Black.
  • Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade – Medium Brown.
  • Zoeva Brow Spectum – Bro 70, Bro30.
  • Eylure x Vegas Nay Fiercely Fabulous Lashes.

  • Lethal Cosmetics Eyeshadows: Aether, Transmutation, Calcination.
  • Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Pencil – Ultra Black.
  • Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24 H – Black.
  • Maybelline Total Temptation Mascara.
  • MakeupGeek Full Spectrum Eyeliner Pencil – Nude.
  • Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade – Medium Brown.
  • Tarte Shape Tape – Fair Neutral.
  • Zoeva Brow Spectum – Bro30, Bro40.
  • Eylure x Vegas Nay Fiercely Fabulous Lashes.

I am quite happy with how they performed. The mattes were pigmented and very easy to blend so they performed well on the eyes. The downside was that I experienced a bit of kickback in the pan especially with “Transmutation”. Not a big downside to me personally but worth mentioning if that it something that may bothers you. It does mean that they will be a bit waist-full and you can experience some fallout, but it did not seem to have any negative effect on the performance otherwise. I find that sometimes very dusty shadows can also have some problems attaching to the eyes, but in this case I think they performed well. So if you generally don’t mind loosely presses shadows (like those in ABH Modern Renaissance for instance) then you should not have a problem with these either.

The texture of the shimmer shades are quite dense. I actually first learned about this brand by seeing it on another Instagram account called Ma.Ry.Na_ (If you like to see some beautiful creative looks than you should definitely check her out) and I was sold when she told me that these shadows reminded her of the Juvia’s Place eyeshadow formula. I love that formula so anything similar is bound to be good. And I think she is absolutely right! They are quite dense in texture but very rich and pigmented. You just have to use a tint bit more pressure with the brush if you want full intensity just like I have to do with the Juvia’s Place formula, but the payoff is intense.

I found that I had to do a bit more work with Spirit though. It definitely worked best with a damp brush, and needed just a little more layering to get full payoff, but it was absolutely possible to get there. It still works, and you still get a nice payoff, but the other shimmers are much more smooth and does not at all need a damp brush.

On thing worth mentioning is the scent. These guys are scented, and in contrast to all those peach and chocolate smelling products, this has a floral perfume scent. It is quite strong. I personally enjoy the scent, but since it is so strong (and a quite potent scent I must add) I can see why some may have a problem with it.

But the overall, judgement is that the shadows perform nicely. I am intrigued by the brand and will for sure pick up more shades, especially of the wonderful shimmer formula! If you are looking for a fun, smaller indie brand to support they are absolutely worth a shot!
