Makeup Favorites – November 2018!

It’s time to share the good stuff again! As usual I have been testing and trying a bunch of products this month. Some of the made it to the monthly favorites, and I even god some old goodies to share as well!

Revolution Pro Radiance: This is an amazing highlighter. I picked this up because it looked like a limited edition highlighter from MAC that I broke. I was so sad about that because I really loved it (the shade was “By Candlelight” if anyone are curious), but this one looked so similar. Now, I don’t have the best memory in the world, but as I can recall that highlighter it is very very similar to Radiance. Regardless of if it’s an exact dupe or not, it is similar enough and it is absolutely gorgeous. So pretty that I picked up another one in the shade “Luminous” that I just tried out. I have my suspicions that this one will also be a favorite. So you should definitely check out these and see if they have a color you fancy, because I am in love now (and I need more!).

Tarte Blush Book: I picked this one up just for the packaging! I have to admit that. But it is so cute and clever made just like a book and it holds 10 powders! 8 blushers, one glowy bronzer and a highlighter. The blush formula by Tarte is famous and for good reason. They are just as good in this palette. But what I like about this the most is that you get so much product in such a nice handy packaging. It’s in great contrast to the huge wagon wheel they released last year! I hope to see more books in the future!

House Of Lashes “Midnight Luxe”: I have been raving about House of Lashes before, and Iconic is right now the only lashes I feel like I always NEED to have available. I always repurchase that one as soon as the pair I have are worn out. Midnight Luxe is a new style I haven’t tried before, but this won’t be the last time I pick up this style for sure. These lashes are so fluffy and feathery and look just gorgeous. They are slightly less dramatic than the Iconic, but more luxurious and glamorous looking in a way. They just look like high-class lashes.

Soph X Makeup Revolution Lipstick “Cake”: Just a super simple fuzz free everyday shade you can just slap on and you’re going to look good anyway. No need to do a tidy application, use a lip liner or even a mirror. This is just so simple and fool proof to wear as well as being creamy and comfortable. Excellent as an everyday lippie!

KissMe Liquid Lipstick “Very Brewtiful” : Another nice nude everyday lipstick I have been using over and over again this November. This was my lipstick of choice when I wanted something to last all day. I actually had this on for 9 hours straight including breakfast, lunch (non-greasy foods) and a bunch) of coffee cups and it still looked decent so i have to say I am quite impressed.

What have been your favorite makeup items in November? I would love to know what you have been using and loving!

Makeup Favorites – September 2018!

One of my very favorite posts to write is these where I can share my favorites with you. I know I have also said that one of my favorite post to write are haul posts, empties post, makeup looks and reviews as well. It’s all true though, I guess it just means I like to share this stuff in general.

IMG_20181008_210203_613.jpg

But the reason why writing favorites posts are so fun is because when I find something I really like and use over and over again I feel like my fellow makeup lovers need to know about them! So this is the makeup products you need to know about this month.

IMG_20181008_210419_368.jpg

Mac Extra Dimension Skinfinish “Whisper Of Gilt”. I have already written a raving review of this iconic product and I guess I don’t have to go in depth about it. You can read the full review here. I just could not put this down this month. I used it almost every day with just a few days in exception. It gives a beautiful pale golden metallic sheen. I am a bit sad to take this out of my everyday makeup bag and put it in my drawer, but I need to give my other highlighters some attention too. This is a great one though!

IMG_20181008_210355_631.jpg

The Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup (why is it called makeup and not foundation? I am confused) is a beautiful very long lasting foundation. I am impressed by how long lasting it is in fact. It has good coverage while still being light weight. This just does not budge on me throughout the day. Unfortunately the shade I have “Shell Beige” is only suitable for me when I am very tan (in hat world am I shell beige? what was I thinking?). I would love to pick up this in a lighter color because I want to use it more often than just those three weeks I am tan enough!

Guerlain Les Voilettes Translucent Loose Powder Mattifying Veil is the finest most light weight powder you can imagine. As you can see the packaging is quite messy. The puff is under the lid, but it has to stay there in order to keep powder from leaking out of the wholes and create a dust-cloud every time you open. So the puff looks disgusting, but the powder inside is really amazing, and the packaging do look pretty (before you open it that is!). This powder has that classic Guerlain scent. It smells like old fancy lady, but I like it. In fact my inner 80-year-ol lady is thrilled. If you want a light weight translucent powder that is mattifying (and expensive) this was a big hit for me at least!

IMG_20181008_210252_920.jpg

Juvia’s Place Saharan II Eyeshadow Palette is the palette of the month for sure. I have been loving using this while preparing for it’s review, but it has also been the one I’ve been reaching for the most besides the palettes in my everyday makeup bag. I would say I used this 2-3 times every week through September which is pretty good for me. It’s just something about these gorgeous metallics and warm rich brown and red crease shades that makes me so happy. And the quality of Juvia’s Place palettes are amazing off course!

IMG_20181008_210316_009.jpg

Off course I have some listick goodies as well!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks has been my favorite dry-down liquid lipstick formula for a while, and the shade “Celebrity Skin” is a nice everyday nude. Everyday nudes are off course what I reach for the most, and I don’t mind it being light weight and lasting all day either!

Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip is a formula I don’t have very many of, but that I really really like. I love the soft blurred out effect it gives my lips. They are not as long lasting as their Ultra Matte or Ultra Satin lips, but they fade away very nicely so it does not really matter if you don’t have time to do touch-ups, you can just refresh it when you want and not worry too much. This is the shade “Soda Pop” which is a nice MLBB color.

H&M Creme Lipsticks are so underrated. These lipsticks are so good and comfy. It does not at all feel like a cheap lipstick. The packaging feels cheap, but the product is so nice and luxurious it might as well be a high end product. The formula on these are just amazing and I can’t belive not more people talk about them, This is the shade “Cream Chestnut” but I am absolutely getting more shades!

IMG_20181008_210452_611.jpg

Lastly the Sleek Distorted Dreams Highlighter Palette. This one has two powder highlighters and three cream highlighters in quite interesting and bold colors. At first I actually had my regrets buying this. The powders where not that good, and the cream highlighters have quite a lot of glitter. But I started using this in the inner corner with more bold looks, and for that purpose these looks absolutely stunning. Especially the blue will give an out-of-this-world inner corner glow to blue looks. As you can probably tell, I suddenly used this quite a lot, and as for now these are my go-to highlighters for colorful looks! Plus it’s in a neat, small packaging.

And that’s it for this months favorites! What have you been loving this month? Do we have any favorites in common, or is it something here among my favorites that you just can’t stand? Let me know! I always love hearing your opinions about products, and it’s so interesting getting different views!

Remember that you can also find me on Bloglovin and Instagram!

Makeup Favorites – August 2018

I know August is not completely over, but I doubt I fill find a new favorite in a day or two, so here are my monthly favorites!

IMG_20180830_141346_495.jpg

August has been divided. It has been partly makeup free with building roof and walking in the mountains, and partly vigorous testing to prepare for reviews. So I got some fun stuff to share with you all!

The L’Oreal Back to Bronze bronzer was a total hit for me. This is such a foolproof bronzer that is so easy to apply. It’s not to dark so I think lighter or maybe medium skin-tones could use this, but even I can use a quite heavy hand without it looking weird so some may find it too light. I really like it though because it is so easy to use, looks nice and even on the skin and you don’t have to worry too much because it’s so easy yo blend. I like easy going bronzers!

IMG_20180830_141442_416.jpg

While we are on the bronzing theme my next favorite is Smashbox The Cali Contour. This one has one bronzer, one contour, one matte brightening powder, one blush and two highlighter and they all go so well together! I won’t say too much in detail because I have a upcoming review with this, but I’ve been digging it all month!

IMG_20180830_141546_336.jpg

Dose of Colors Liquid Lipstick “Stone”. I fell in love with both the formula and the shade. The formula is a very comfy dry-down liquid lipstick with great longevity, and the color is a beautiful cool-toned nude. I find myself wanting more colors in this formula. Do you have a favorite shade to recommend?

IMG_20180815_122155_983.jpg

Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation. I finally got my tan and could start wearing the foundation I bought a long while back in a slightly to dark color. Now in summer the color is fine. And I have used this foundation almost every single day I put foundation on my face this month. This is like butter on a stick, and I love the dewy finish and great coverage it gives.

IMG_20180830_141611_599.jpg

Revolution Define & Conceal has become famous quickly, and everyone knows about it by know. I had it for quite a while, and I always enjoyed it, but this month I just could not put it down. It works so nice with the foundation stick! I am close to running out of it now, so it’s just perfect timing that Revolution PRO release a super size version (and a foundation version!) of it. Guess what I will be picking up on my next order!

IMG_20180830_141634_915.jpg

The Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipsticks I’ve mentioned before, and the shade “Driver’s Seat” has been featured in my favorites before, The formula is absolutely fantatic, and are right up there with my favorite dry down formula from Jeffree Star. This month the gorgeous red shade “Bawse” stole a piece of my heart. A red lip that lasts forever!

I picked up a highlighter palette on impulse last month without knowing anything about it. The L’Oreal La Vie En Glow . Why does not more people talk about this? This is amazing! The formula is so smooth and creamy. The way the apply on the cheeks really remind me of the Ofra highlighter formula. The shades are not glittery, but has a lot of shimmer and glow. They blend like a dream and gives such a pretty look to your cheekbones. I also found that all shades work for me, which rarely happens with a palette.

IMG_20180830_141421_263.jpg

My last favorite is very precious to me and that is the Ceritfeye Tropical Wonders palette. I had this for a while now, and I’ve already put up a review of it quite some time ago (read here). This is also in my project pan 2018. so I have off course used it regularly, and it’s been my favorite colorful palette for quite some time. I just feels like ti deserves a mention again. I have been working a bit with a collective makeup look post where I am sharing an array of different makeup looks, and this palette have been some fun and helpful in that process. I actually think I am about to hit pan on a few of the shades quite soon, which I find so exciting. I have never ever panned colorful shades before, only the regular base and crease shades we all use all of the time. This palette really is something special!

That’s all my favorites this month. Do we have some in common? Do you have some favorites you like? If you did a favorites post or video please drop a link in the comments so I and the rest of my readers can have a look. I love reading these post from you guys!

Remember to give me a follow on Bloglovin or Instagram if you haven’t already.

May Makeup Favorites 2018

IMG_20180606_085608_913.jpg

Every month I am so excited about this post, obviously because I have so much good stuff to share with you. I only talk about products that I’ve used a fair bit and truly love the quality of, so they are always so fun to talk to you about. At least I think it is a lot more fun to write and share a great review than a bad one, and these posts are nothing but great reviews of things I’ve loved. I got quite a few highlighters to talk about this month, so are you ready?

IMG_20180606_085708_059.jpg

Stile Heaven’s Hue Highlighter “Kitten” – I was inspired to take this out of the drawer after seeing those new shades being released. I purchased his in June 2017, but I had so much makeup coming in at the time so I just used it a few times and put it back in my drawer. Such a shame! I started using this in April actually, and regularly picked it out through May as well, and I do love the gorgeous metallic wet look it gives to my cheeks. I am now eyeing the new shades to try figuring out if theyre are any good shades among the selection I would like to pick up next, because the formula is great and the packaging is gorgeous too. There’s nothing not to like except maybe them being a bit expensive. Totally worth it though.

IMG_20180606_150312_019.jpg

H&M Illumination Lustre Powder “Delicate Pearl” – This is a cheap one, which is always great. The quality surprised me though. This one can be both. A light hand will give you a subtle glow, but if you build it up you got a metallic light beam! The formula is smooth and rich and blends out so easy, and best of all, there is no glitter at all! Really a low cost bargain.

IMG_20180606_140501_457.jpg

Ora Feelin’ Myself Highlighter Palette – I never tried Ofra highlighters before, so I figured a handy little palette with three of their well known shades would be a nice place to start. The palette has the shades Blissful, Pillow Talk and Rodeo Drive. Blissful is a tiny bit to dark for me right now, but will be no problem later in summer. The other two are perfect all-year-round shade. Also, they are just as intense as everyone say they are. I will for sure get myself more Ofra highlighters because I am for sure feelin’myself glowing when I am wearing these. These are not for the faint of heart!

IMG_20180426_222518_117.jpg

Dominique Cosmetics Latte Palette – I was impressed with this first launch from the brand. A handy, well-put together eyeshadow palette for everyday use with a few multi-task colors in there that can be used as setting powder, bronzer or highlighter. Just a very well put together palette with great quality. I am excited to see what else this brand brings out, and I will fur sure pick up the Lemonade palette!

IMG_20180606_085635_784.jpg

KissMe Liquid Lipstick “Butterfly” – I have talked over and over again about the KissMe formula so I don’t want to  get into that, but this color is so stunning and I loved wearing this in the evenings throughout May. I just can’t get over how gorgeous the dark fuchsia pink with satin finish is!

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick “Druglord” – I can’t emphasize enough how retarded I look with white matte liquid lipstick on my lips, and we shall not forget how a  blinding white lipstick also makes my teeth look like brown horse teeth in comparison (I had to try though). So obviously this is not my go-to lipstick when I want to look cute.

But this is really great to carve out the crease if I want the color I am layering on top to really pop. Or just a base for any vibrant pale color, or even as an white eyeliner.

It is also a nice mixer if you want to get one of the other liquid lipstick shades a bit paler. So considering it looks like an absolute nightmare on my lips it’s probably my most handy liquid lipstick of them all.

MakeupGeek Blush “Bliss” – I have been using all 5 of my MakeupGeek blushes this month. Off course I use mainly the blush I am panning for my day makeup, but when I get home from work and need to redo my makeup (I run home from work every day and have a shower so I usually apply my makeup again after) I have been reaching a lot for Bliss. Is is the perfect spring blush for me. Peachy but still pale enough to match my skin. It is also so wearable.

IMG_20180606_141625_180.jpg

Isadora Bronzing Powder 94 Matte Tan – This is HUGE! with 35 g of product I won’t be running out any time soon. This one is perfect for this time of year. It is way too pale for  me in summer and winter, but right now it is perfect. The powder goes on so smooth and is so blendable as well. It really is fool-proof to apply and always looks nice and even. This really is a gem and I don’t know why I never hear people talk about it!

Do you have any fun favorites this month? Leave a comment!

Favorite Makeup and Beauty – February 2018!

Since February sadly is over (It’s my birthday month) I also have accumulated some favorite products to shade with you! As usual that makes me very excited because when I know about something really great, I want all you lovely readers to know it too!

IMG_20180228_193547_831.jpg

Tarte Tartelette Toasted: This have been such a great companion lately. This has been my absolute go-to for weekends and I’ve done anything from dark smoky eyes. cut-creases and very natural looks. All with the warm delicious tones the Toasted palette can offer. I even managed to wear off some of the Tarte imprints in the most used shadows. I didn’t even get around to swatch or make a review of this palette for you yet, but I am sure I will because I have been loving this lately!

IMG_20180228_193646_149.jpg

Becca Apres Skis Face Palette: This one has a bit of everything. Blush, highlighter and bronzer. I have been using all shades over and over again except the one dark bronze highlight that just does not work for my skin-tone right now (maybe in summer). At first I thought that maybe the bronzer would be too shimmery, but the finish on the skin is just glowing and beautiful, as you can tell it is even the most used product in the palette!

So great having a palette that holds a bunch of the face products I need all in one, and I actually do love the highlighters (hello Opal), blushes and bronzer all together. And the packaging is a piece of work too! Stunning palette from head to toe.

IMG_20180228_193802_634.jpg

Essence Pure Nude Highlight: I love love love LOVE this! The perfect subtle glowing goddess kind of product. Can be built up as a highlighter on the cheeks, but it can also be used with a bigger brush and used with a light hand all over the face for the most amazing glow-from-within-I-just-happen-to-be-perfect-skin. And who does not want that!

IMG_20180228_194017_892.jpg

Bareminerals Stroke Of Light Concealer: To be honest I didn’t think I would like this to begin with. I though it would be too natural and give too little coverage. And it does give little coverage. This is not the concealer for you if you want heavy duty coverage. But it brightens the skin so beautifully. It just lifts and give life to your under eye area a way that a concealer with coverage could never do. Since I don’t have that dark under-eyes and not much to cover anyway, this is so beautiful and just makes me look younger! Your girl here just turned 31, I need all the help I can get looking younger, so this is a win for me!

IMG_20180228_193731_824.jpg

Emma S Enzyme Peel: Don’t you just love rediscovering old favorites you used to use years ago, and when you start using them again you just really can’t understand how you ever stopped because the product is so fantastic? That’s where me and Emma S are right now! This is an peel with AHA- and BHA-acids that removes dead skin cells, dissolves blackheads and leaves your skin glowing and fresh. This stuff really works, and it only takes a moment to do the treatment. By the time you are done shampooing your hair, the peel is done as well and you just rinse it off. Skincare that works on speed!

IMG_20180228_194043_190.jpg

Lastly I adore these two lippies from Colourpop and Kathleen Lights most recent collection. Moon Child is such a beautiful nude gloss with fine glitter, and Dreamy is the most gorgeous terracotta nude satin lip. Both perfect for everyday wear, and works with almost any look.

I am also happy to realize that I didn’t have any misses to talk about this month, simply because I didn’t find anything new that doesn’t work. And thats always good news!

What are your favorites for February?

XOXO

Makeup Hits & Misses January 2018!

I got some good stuff for you this month! I just really fell in love with some of these products. It’s not very often you find that product you just have a hard time putting down if you are like me with a huge collection and a love for changing up the products. But, this month I found so many really amazing things and I can’t wait to share them with you guys!

IMG_20180204_224104_398.jpg

I also found my first Colourpop eyeshadow palette that was a complete miss for me, so stay tuned if you want to know the tea.

But first, let me tell you about everything I fancy right now!

IMG_20180204_225144_678.jpg

Maybelline Master Chrome Highlighter – Molten Rose Gold: Ok, this one you all know about. Most people really love it. I have also the original shade in “Molten Gold” but this one just looks a tiny bit more flattering on my winter skin-tone. This is such a georgeous metallic highlighter that gives you that beaming glow without the shimmer and glitter. It is just highlighter perfection, and even though I did play around with some other highlighters in January, I almost missed this one the days I chose something else. Strange thing that you can miss a highlighter when you are already wearing another highlighter on your face. Must be true highlighter love (and you would have to be a crazy makeup-junkie for this to even make sense).

IMG_20180204_225330_029.jpg

Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Foundation: I mentioned this before, because this is my holy grail of foundations. So it’s not a new favorite, but I have been using it a lot last month and my fascination of how pretty and natural it makes my skin got revived. I loved it ever since I picked it up summer 2017, but I tend to save it for special occasions because being Guerlain it’s not exactly wallet friendly.

IMG_20180204_225234_487.jpg

KissMe Liquid Lipstick – Madrid: This was a part of the KissMe liquid lipstick subscription December bundle, and it is a gorgeous true mauve. A matte mauve lipstick that lasts for hours and feels comfy is just the thing I like to wear. Perfect as a darker nude.

IMG_20180204_224242_936.jpg

Jeffree Star Androgyny Palette: I have been playing a lot with this palette, and created a post filled with eyeshadow looks as well as a review post of the palette that will be coming soon. I was really impressed by the quality of the eyeshadows while playing around with it, and I think the overall quality of this palette is better than the previous Beauty Killer palette. It’s like Jeffree listened to the concerns people had with his first palette and used that information to improve the next. A good move because this palette is awesome and so much fun to use!

IMG_20180204_225038_890.jpg

MAC Lipstick – Patisserie: I love MAC lipsticks and I have been for years, nothing new there. But I really dug into this lipstick in January and from being used just a few days before it is actually 1/3 down! It is lustre finish so they don’t stay on your lips too long so you would off course use up a lipstick with this finish much faster than say a matte, but still, god a ton of use out of this!

IMG_20180204_224628_899.jpg

LUSH Big Shampoo: This is so refreshing, and a prefect pick me up in the morning. The best is the nice airy volume my hair gets. It simply just gets bigger. I finished a tub of this, but I already have a backup. I’ve finished several more tubs before, but I just picked up on using this in January and got a good reminder that I can actually have big hair too!

IMG_20180204_225112_433.jpg

MakeupGeek Plush Matte – Marriage Material: This is the most matte yet the most light-weight liquid lipstick you can imagine. It feels like wearing nothing on your lips! The shade is such a gorgeous mid-toned rosy shade and it is actually not that far away from my natural lip-color which is probably why I find this to be a good everyday shade for me. I like the formula so much I had to pick up another shade.

IMG_20180204_224733_116.jpg

Chanel Correcteur Perfection Concealer – 10: This haven’t just become a favorite of January, this is right now my favorite concealer of them all! It is better than my Maybelline Age-Rewind., Better than my Catrice Camoflage, better than my Guerlain Multi-Perfecting Concealer, better than my Maybelline Fit Me, it is even better than……behold…..my Tarte Shape Tape. Yes, it is that great! It does everything I want. Good coverage, no creasing, no dryness, blends like a dream, looks like incredible skin, and lasts for a long time. Packaging is also nice, simplistic and luxurious. This is amazing stuff and I am puzzled why I never hear anything about it.

IMG_20180204_225214_321.jpg

KissMe Liquid Lipstick – Venice: Yep, it’s another liquid lipstick from the December bundle. This one is  little lighter and a bit more peachy than Madrid, but still a mauve shade. Perfect for everyday wear!

IMG_20180204_224335_360.jpg

Juvia’s Place The Magic Palette: I already had the Zulu palette by the brand, and since that was a good experience I wanted to try more. Little did I know that this palette would be as big of a hit as this. It truly deserved its name because the shades are nothing short of magic and unique. I created so many looks with this palette, and still my creativity just kept coming. I had to force myself to put it down in the end. After all I have more palettes to review and need to use them as well in order to get an impression of them, but damn it was hard. This palette is nothing short of stunning and every shade is excellent. I am L-O-V-I-N-G it.

I am sorry if I seem so excited, but not once since I started this blog have I been this excited about this many products at the same time!

Lets tone it down a bit and talk about something that did not work.

IMG_20180204_225423_214.jpg

THE MISS – Colourpop Golden State Of Mind Palette: You all know I love Colourpop and their eyeshadow palettes. Every single one of those I’ve tried have been palettes I really enjoyed the quality of. Surely, a few shades here and there could have been better, but the overall standard have been very good. Colourpop also know how to make some excellent metallics smooth as butter and richly pigmented like those you find in the “I Think I Love You” palette. So what happened here? This palette is just a bunch of chunky glitter that ends up on your cheeks throughout the day, and the metallic shades are not nearly as impressive as the ones we are used to. Since they upped the price-tag quite considerably for this tag, and it was a part of their Sephora launch I did expect it to at least be on par with their usual standard but it’s just not. Off course you can make it work with setting spray and a good base, but that is not necessary with most of their other shades, so why fill a palette with shades like that. So disappointed!

That’s it for January hits & misses. Thanks for taking your time to read it, I hope you enjoyed it and please leave a comment if we have a favorite in common!

XOXO

Makeup favorites of December 2017! – And a few misses.

First of all, Happy New Year! I am very excited to get started on 2018, and I hope you are as well. Lets kick of this year by talking about my favorite products on the end of last year.

Once again I have a lot of fun favorites to share with you! December has been fun, and I played around with a lot of makeup, tested new products, created makeup looks and as usual some products stood out and this post is all about them. Let’s just say that colored highlighters has been a thing this month!

I have actually been using a ton of red lipsticks during December but I’ve change between the ones I’ve got so much that I didn’t feel I could include them in a monthly favorites post even though they are highly loved lipsticks. I did however make a post with my top 10 red lipsticks that you could check out if you want to know about my favorite reds.

But lets get on with the monthly favorite!

The Zoeva Brow Spectrum palette is a real gem! I was never that into brow products. I mean, I use them, but I don’t think they are any fun to buy. I am very happy I picked up this palette though! There are both warm and cool shades for your brows, and you even have a cool-toned, a warm-toned shimmer brow bone highlight,  and a matte brow bone highlight. The shimmery highlighters are beautiful on the Cheek bones as well! And guess what, the brow powders double as eyeshadows! Overall, this is a very versatile brow palette with multiple areas of use!

I Think I Love You from Colourpop has been much loved as well. I almost hit pan on the second shade in the middle row. I think with one or two more uses I will see some metal from the pan. Several of the shades also show much use, though it is hard to see on this picture.

I love this palette because I can use this palette alone to create both daytime and evening looks, and I’ve used every single shade in the palette several times. The palette just got all I need, and the metallics are just stunning!

This Isadora Glow Face Prisma Wheel was not love at first sight, but I kept it in my everyday makeup bag because I wanted to get some use out of it and get to know it a bit better.

This is just one of the products that I loved more the more I used it. The pink shades are beautiful as blush-toppers, the white is a very intense icy cheek highlighter and the green and purple have been used a lot as inner corner highlighters for a subtle pop of color. I bet they look great as a brow bone highlighter with very intense green and purple looks as well, but I have yet to try that out.
Just a lovely and a bit different highlighter palette for those who like a bit more fun colors.

This Diorblush Cheek Creme in “Bikini” may look bright and intense, but it gives such a beautiful flush of color to the cheeks.

I am a sworn creme blush lover since I think they look so flattering on the skin, particularly on natural makeup days, and this one is really nice and easy to blend.

Doesn’t hurt that is comes in a heavy luxurious Dior packaging either. This is a bit old and sadly I think it is limited edition.

My two most used lipsticks for every day are the Colourpop Lippie Stix in the shade “Cami” and Guerlain liquid lipstick i the shade “Charming Beige”. I have become a big fan of the Guerlain liquid lipstick formula. It doesn’t dry down and are therefore not transfer proof, but it is super comfy and long-wearing.

Cami is the Colourpops Matte X formula. I find it slightly more drying than their regular Matte formula, but with a lip balm underneath I didn’t have any issues. The shade is a nice dark nude on me.

I got some nice base product favorites also to share!

Smashbox Studio Skin 24 hour waterproof concealer is a nice one. Medium coverage, blends out like a dream, no creasing, no enhancing fine lines and lasts for a long time. Not for 24 hours, lets be real, but it stays put during the day without touch up and it fades away without making a big deal about it (meaning it fades away nicely without cracking up). Great concealer!

Skinfood Buckwheat Loose Powder is a super fine milled powder that mattifies like nothing else! If you like a matte finish this will keep the shine away for hours and hours. I usually get a bit shiny on my forehead during a day at work, but not with this. I use it to set my whole face. It does give a slightly powder finish but I always finish my makeup routine with a setting spray or a mist anyway. It smells nice too!

Clean hair with peppermint candy scent? Yes, Please! The Nature’s Answer Essential Oil Shampoo has been my most used last month. It smells soooo good, and it feels really refreshing! It is also Vegan, Cruelty-free and cheap!

I already posted a review of this sleeping pack (read here) so you may have seen this before on my blog. This have just been my go-to after a shower/exercise/sauna when my skin is clean and needs a bit of extra moisture while I can’t be bothered putting on a real mask. This gives a lot of hydration and it is completely fuzz-free since you just slap it on your face and that’s all. No need to wash of, just plenty of hydration in one simple step!

This facepalette from Zoeva is beautiful! The bronzer has been used a lot this month. So easy to apply and just the right shade in the middle of winter. The highlighter is also very pretty, and so is the glowing rose gold blush, but the bronzer has been my main product out of these three this month.

Also, this Zoeva rose gold petit crease brush is amazing! Perfect for deepening the crease with more presition than a normal crease brush can give. I am for sure getting more Zoeva brushes!

My last favorite is the highlighter Twinkle from Colourpops My Little Pony collection. It is quite unique lavender shade with a blue duo-chrome hue. I just love that effect! I’ve really been enjoying colored highlighters lately and this one definately stole the show. Not the most intense highlighter, but the duo-chrome gives it a nice and different finish.

And now that we are done taking about my most loved items of December, lets talk about the products that did not work for me.

This Dragon Hearts highlighter from Makeup Revolution was one of the misses. It is sad because the packaging and the product itself is so pretty. I have to admit I have a hard time understanding exactly what I am supposed to do with it. Orange highlighter obviously does not work on my skin tone. So I tried using it as a blush topper with orange or coral blushes. It is just too glittery and chalky for that and it does not look nice on the skin. Maybe I need to give it another chance and use it in other ways, like only picking up the lighter shades to highlight with, or try it as an eyeshadow, but right now this product is quite a disappointment to me. Well, at least it is a pretty piece to add to my collection even though I can’t really make it work for me.

This last one I am so bummed about. I was so excited when Colourpop released setting sprays. You know, their wonderful price point and usually high quality makes most of the things they release tempting. But this, this is like aiming a high-pressure water hose to your face. It happened more than once that this product just ruined my makeup instead of finishing it. Either it would mess up my eye-makeup, or the large drops from the hose spray left spots in my foundation. The spray is not even at all, you just get a bunch of large drops all over your face. Maybe the spritzer is ruined you may ask? Well, I got two different ones and they are both just as bad. I tried holding the bottle as far away from my face as possible, but my arms are too short!

I love Colourpop as a brand, but this is an awful spray. This will serve as a brush-dampener from now on.

So, there you got them all! What are your hits (or misses) for December? I would love to know if we have any in common!

XOXO
