Trash Talk 2019 – Going Through My Beauty Empties #4

It just happens to be so that I have 10 more empties to share with you again. Moving houses and focusing on finishing products before we move instead of continuously replacing things really made my empties pile grow large fast.

IMG_20190312_123536_238.jpg

These are today’s empties! A bit of everything here from skincare to haircare and even some makeup items. I always find it so satisfying to finish a makeup item.

IMG_20190312_123614_024.jpg

#31 – Pure Life Papaya Conditioner: This one smells divine. It’s maybe a little bit too light for my taste. I would like something a little more nourishing but if my hair don’t need too much TLC at the moment it works just fine. Would kind of be worth to pick up again just because of the scent. Also super handy that it’s a pump!

#32 – Rituals Fortune Oil: Shower oils are a great alternative to shower gels when the skin feels dry. Rituals shower oils are great, and I love that also this one comes in a pump. The scent is amazing, and if you like sweet orange you need to try this!

#33 Simple Foaming Cleanser: A very light weight foaming cleanser. It id not strip any moisture from my skin, but it also did not feel like it cleaned all that much. I felt like I had to remove my makeup properly before using this, because this would not take the leftovers. But besides that it was OK. I don’t think I will but it again though.

#34 Dove Summer Revived Body Lotion With Self-Tanner: I have talked about these before. I picked up 4 of these body lotions because they were on sale, not being aware that they were self-tanners too! Not in a good way though. In a patchy orange way. It gave off so little color so if I just used it one day here and there it did not give me any color so  I could luckily use them all up. But now I am finally finished with this one being the last one of those 4 I got. I will NEVER buy this again!

IMG_20190312_123636_176.jpg

#35  Nature Republic Himalaya Salt Cleansing Balm: I don’t know how many of these I have been through by now. but it’s a really good cleansing balm that removes even the most stubborn makeup. I already have a new one opened, and an additional one in backup!

#36 The Boy Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask: Great for giving a lot of moisture, but I kind of feel like I get just as much from a sheet mask for a fraction of the price plus I won’t have to wash it of. I don’t think I will buy this one again, but with that being said I don’t think it is a bad mask, I just got my moisture needs covered by sheet masks, but I would not mind trying some of the other masks from The Body Shop.

#37 Haus Of Gloi Pumpkin Butter “Hex”: These are still my holy grail off course. And the scent is absolutely divine. It’s fruity and sweet but in a dark way if that makes sense. A sensual kind of fruity and sweet instead of girly fruity and sweet. It smells like fall, not like summer. I have two back-ups of this!

IMG_20190312_123656_185.jpg

#38 LUSH Rose Jam Shower Gel: This one smells so divine. However it’s intensely sweet and I had this for three years or so before I could finish it. I would love to pick up a new one next year. LUSH usually release this around Christmas every year. I do think a small bottle would be enough though.

#39 Makeupgeek Gel Liner “Immortal”: I had this for ages. It’s actually quite impressive that it did not dry out. The product is discontinued and has been for some year at least. I did really like it though, so I hope they bring out a new one.

#40 Smashbox Studio Skin 24 H Waterproof Concealer: I like this but I did not love it. I think maybe it was a bit on the pale side for me and that’s why it did not cover as nicely as I would like it too.

So after adding this to my summary of products these are the stuff I have empties so far in 2019. My goal is 200!

  • Shampoo/Conditioner: 7.
  • Shower gel/butter/foam etc: 3.
  • Body Lotion/Butter: 10.
  • Body Scrub: 1.
  • Face Mask: 2.
  • Hair Mask: 2.
  • Face Care (cream/cleanser/toner/oil/essence/serum etc): 5.
  • Mascara: 2.
  • Makeup Remover/Cleansing Balm: 2
  • Powder: 1.
  • Concealer: 2.
  • Foundation/BB Cream: 1.
  • Primer: 1.
  • Eyeliner (gel, liquid or pencil): 1.

That brings the total amount of empties to 40!

Did you finish anything fun lately? Or do you have a goal for how many product you want to get through?

Trask Talk 2019 – Going Through My Beauty Empties # 4

Once again I got a nice little bunch of products to go through. I am really racing through my empties lately as I am trying to focus on a lot of half used stuff to empty it before I move. I can see a massive restock happening once I have moved and settled into the new home.

IMG_20190225_183130_322.jpg

These are the ten new empties we will go through in this post!

IMG_20190225_183152_433.jpg

#31 Pure Secret Seasalt Body Scrub: It’s quite a big pot of body scrub but I went through this in no time. The salt grains was really fine mille and I felt like I had to use a lot of it to get a decent scrub. Also the scent was kind of synthetic. I don’t think I will pick this up again.

#32 XHC Coconut Water Shampoo: This one I really did enjoy. Not that overwhelming synthetic coconut scent.  This one was more fresh. And I also really like how shiny and soft it left my hair, and all that without making it heavy. Could see myself buying this again.

#33 XHC Coconut Water Conditioner: Same as the shampoo. Really like these.

IMG_20190225_183211_130.jpg

#34 Rituals Hammam Warming Ginger & Fresh Eucalyptus Body Scrub: This on the other hand is a really nice body scrub. The grains are just chunky enough and in a oil base that leaves your skin very moisturized. The scent is also super refreshing for early mornings. Would love to pick up this one again.

#35 Rituals Touch Of Happiness Sweet Orange & Cedar Wood Body Cream: If you love orange you neeeeed to smell this! It smells so heavenly that I could repurchase just for the lovely scent alone. Off course it helps that the body cream is also very nice and rich and moisturizing. Will for sure pick up this one again!

#36 Skinfood Black Sugar and Strawberry Face Mask: This one has real strawberry seeds in it. And it smells like real strawberries. It’s a bit awkward putting on because it feels like you are putting jam on your face. The strawberry seeds help give you a bit of exfoliation too when you wash it off. I don’t feel like it does anything magic except adding some moisture to the skin though. Not sure if I will repurchase straight away but I am not against picking one up again in the future either.

IMG_20190225_183231_579.jpg

#37 Yves Rocher Grapefruit & Thyme Shower Gel: This one smells so amazing and super refreshing. Other than that it’s just your average shower gel, and gets the job done. Love the scent though and would love to get a new one of these!

#38 Haus Of Gloi Pumpkin Butter “Apple Milk”: You know I adore these! In my opinion the best body butters out there! The scent “Apple Milk” is also so delicious I just want to eat it! (but I don’t). I already have two more of these, and will absolutely pick them up again if they are offered for sale again (they are usually a part of the fall selection).

#39 The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA 30 ml: A very easy going ad simple face moisturizer that is cheap as chips and get the job done. Would not mind picking up a new one of these.

#40 Isadora Jelly Kiss Lipsick “Bare Bliss”: My first lipstick of the year, and also my first lip product from my total of 7 in my project pan! This is a really nice light weight lipstick that is super easy to just throw on, and the color is a nice very wearable nude. I am not sure this one is still available though, and I have plenty of nudes so I don’t really need to pick up a new one, but I did really enjoy this!

And in the end I just add these products to my annual summary of product and it looks like this:

  • Shampoo/Conditioner: 8.
  • Shower gel/butter/foam etc: 2.
  • Body Lotion/Butter: 10.
  • Body Scrub: 3.
  • Face Mask: 2.
  • Hair Mask: 2.
  • Face Care (cream/toner/oil/essence/serum etc): 5.
  • Mascara: 2.
  • Makeup Remover/Cleansing Balm: 1
  • Powder: 1.
  • Concealer: 1.
  • Foundation/BB Cream: 1.
  • Primer: 1.
  • Lipstick/Lipgloss: 1

A total of 40 products finished to far this year. Maybe it will be possible to reach my 200 goal this year?

Did you finish something fun lately?

Trash Talk 2019 – Going Through My Beauty Empties #3

I feel like I am racing through products lately. And I guess I am. With moving coming up in a few months I am focusing more on just finishing a bunch of products so I don’t buy much new stuff and just stick to the same products without rotating too much. That also means things empty fast.

IMG_20190206_112506_962.jpg

This is the bunch I will be going through today!

IMG_20190206_112525_189.jpg

#21 – Avalon Organics Clarifying Shampoo: I really like this one. It was the one I was reaching for every time I felt like a hydrating shampoo would just not be good enough to clean my hair. You know the days when you probably had to use dry shampoo too many days in a row and you needed something to properly clean it out. It also left my hair very shiny and voluminous. The downside is that it’s not very moisturizing either and I found it necessary to put in a leave-in conditioner or something to not get too dry. This is also vegan and biodegradable.

#22 – Avalon Organics Clarifying Conditioner: I used this always paired with the shampoo, so I guess my experience with the shampoo is an experience of both the shampoo and conditioner combined.

#23 – Yes To Cucumber Gentle Milk Cleanser: This was OK. I could get through it without any issues, but it’s just not something special to me. I didn’t feel it was too cleansing either so maybe it was a bit too gentle for my taste. Will not repurchase.

IMG_20190206_112543_256.jpg

#24 – Holika Holika Petit BB Cream: This is a very cheap but still good BB Cream. It looks great on the skin when you first apply it, and wears good for around 4 hours. Now, natural skin-like BB Creams are not famous for being the most long lasting anyway. I may pick this one up again.

#25 The Ordinary High-Adherance Silicone Primer: Very affordable primer. I usually like The Ordinary products but this one did not do much for me. It did even out texture and pores a bit, but I think for instance the NYX Angel Veil does a very similar job just better. I won’t pick up this again, because even though it’s cheap I already know similar products that also are cheap but works better.

#26 The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA: This one on the other hand is great. I cheap and simple moisturizer that does the job. Nothing fancy, just simple, easy, and it works! I have already picked up a new one.

#27 L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Hippie Mascara: At the beginning I did like this. It does give nice volume but I noticed that it wears of a bit too easy for my taste. After a day at work it almost looked like I was not wearing much. I could not see any smudging but ll the lift and volume was gone. I know there are better options out there.

IMG_20190206_112605_851.jpg

#28 Haus Of Gloi – Depravity: These are fantastic, and I brag about them in every other empties post. This is just one product I will always have around. This is one of the first scents I picked up when I made my first Haus of Gloi order maybe 7 years ago, and I still feel like I always need one of these in my bathroom. The scent is so unique. I can really smell the “Spilled wine” note.

#29 Wet N’Wild Photofocus Concealer: I really like the foundation in this series, but this one was just OK. It get’s the job done fairly well, but it was a bit lackluster compared to many of my favorites. Since I know so many great concealers I don’t really see myself picking up this again. It is very cheap though, and I did not think it was bad, so it’s not that I would not recommend it, it was just not my favorite.

#30 Yves-Rocher Raspberry Peppermint Body Lotion: This smells a lot like raspberry and not so much of peppermint, but it’s very fresh and summery. I prefer a slightly heavier lotion for day to day, but I really do like how these smell so I could see myself picking it up again.

So to make a summary of everything I go through in one year, I will add these to my list of empties in different categories:

  • Shampoo/Conditioner: 6.
  • Shower gel/butter/foam etc: 1.
  • Body Lotion/Butter: 8.
  • Body Scrub: 1.
  • Face Mask: 1.
  • Hair Mask: 2.
  • Face Care (cream/toner/oil/essence/serum etc): 4.
  • Mascara: 2.
  • Makeup Remover/Cleansing Balm: 1
  • Powder: 1.
  • Concealer: 1.
  • Foundation/BB Cream: 1.
  • Primer: 1.

I am slightly shocked that we are in the middle of February and I have already gone through a total of 6 bottles of shampoo/conditioner, but thinking about it I had a lot that was running low in the end of 2018.

What product do you go through fast? I think mine is body lotions but I will see in the end of the year what the summary say.

Project Pan 2018 – Round Up!

2018 is over and so is my year long project pan. Don’t worry, I had so much fun panning that I will continue with another project in 2019, but it’s time to do a summary of my 2018 project to see how it went and what goals I managed to reach, and also which ones I failed. This project was my first ever proper project pan, so I feel like I gained some experience on how to do a year long project. So I feel better prepared for my 2019 project. You can read the introduction of the project here if you know all the products I started out with.

IMG_20190110_134201_398.jpg

I did reach all my goals on finishing foundations, BB Creams and powders. The last face base product I finished was this History of Woo Jewel Loose Powder. I really enjoyed the product, but the container is HUGE with 28 grams that lasted me almost a full year! I will not buy it again just for the bulky packaging. but the powder itself is really nice if you don’t mind storing it.

IMG_20190110_134217_023.jpg

I also finished the Adopt Eau de Parfum Thè Blanc. I will not buy another one of this. I do like the smell, even though it is a bit simple, maybe more suitable for a younger audience than me to be honest. My main issue with it was that the scent did not last on me. Maybe just an hour or so. It was nice to do it if I just felt like refreshing myself, but not something I will run out and buy. At least I got my use out 9of it thanks to my project.

I also finished all my lip products. But I had already finished them on my last update.

IMG_20190110_134243_700.jpg

The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is one of my fails. I was so sure I would be able to hit pan in December since I have been seeing the pattern in the tin pan through the product for a while. Annoyingly enough I think I can probably hit pan on any use now. I was considering to transfer this to my 2019 project pan, but I think I will wait and see. I need a little break from this product even though I really like it.

IMG_20190110_134303_535.jpg

I did hit pan on the NARS Zen blush though. This blush I use as a bronzer because a brownish pink works nicely as a bronzing shade on me in winter.

IMG_20190110_134320_811.jpg

The GloMinerals Globlush in Papaya was a real struggle. I really thought I picked a blush that would be fairly easy to pan since it#s not overly pigmented, not too hard pressed, and has only3,4 g of product. Oh, was I wrong! I can barely see some usage in the pan but I am nowhere close of getting pan. And this blush has been used 4-5 times every week for a year! I did not know panning a blush would be this hard. It made me realize that I won’t be having a blush in next years project pan. I feel like I need to get some use out of more of my blush collection and rotate a bit more instead of focusing on just one.

IMG_20190113_210709_330.jpg

Lastly, all of the palettes I’ve picked out has pan in one shade (which was my goal). Off course they are mainly base shades and transition shades, but I am pretty happy about hitting pan on my first yellow eyeshadow ever! I could not imagined that a few years ago so that was extra fun.

So just to make a summare of everything that went down this year!

Empties so far:

  • Missha Signature Wrinkle Fill Up B.B Cream
  • NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer
  • Colourpop Aventurine Setting Spray
  • Colourpop Aquamarine Setting Spray
  • Origins Ginger Essence
  • Too Faced Lip Injection (shimmery beige)
  • Too Faced Lip Injection (pink transparent)
  • Korres Mango Butter Lipstick (Natural Pink)
  • Adopt Eau de Parfum Aqua Liguria.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Bouncing.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Aqua.
  • Bergamo Magic Snail BB Cream.
  • L’Oreal Glam Beige Healthy Glow Foundation.
  • L’Oreal True Match Concealer.
  • L’Oreal Shine Delicieux Lipstick.
  • Adopt Eau de Parfum Thè Blanc.
  • History of Woo Jewel Loose Powder.

Pans so far:

  • Anastasia Modern Renaissance Eyeshadow Palette (Tempera).
  • Colourpop Yes Please (Full Zip)
  • NARS Zen blush.
  • Zoeva En Taupe Eyeshadow Palette (Hour by Hour).
  • Certifeye Tropical Wonders Palette (Sunray).

IMG_20190113_210733_033.jpg

All in all I am quite happy. Except that never ending blush, and that Too Faced bronzer that I am soo soooo close to hit pan on, I managed to reach all my goals. Maybe I made it a bit easy for myself, but why make something that should be fun hard right? At least my goals of making some of my products seem more used, get some good use out of things, and finish a few base products was successful!

I will be doing another project pan for 2019 too, because this was fun! I have already picked the items, heck I started thinking about what to pick even back in October, so I will be getting on finishing that post too, and hopefully you can read all about my new project pan adventures!

Trash Talk – Beauty Empties!

Time to do a summary of how I liked my recent empties! The procedure is the same as with all these posts! I will talk about each product individually and give a little mini review of all of them. There are the products we will go through today!

IMG_20181220_121815_714.jpg

A little mixture of haircare, bodycare and makeup items this time too. As usual I will number them. The original idea was to reach 200 products, but that was much harder than I expected. I guess that’s not a bad thing. Why use more if you don’t need to?

IMG_20181220_121843_045.jpg

#143 – Co Lab Dry Shampoo “Unicorn”: I usually reach for Batiste when I buy dry shampoo, but this unicorn scented one sucked me in. I was so curious about what unicorns smells like! Turns out I really like this one. Batiste gives more texture to the hair, but if you don’t want that this one is a great option. My hair felt clean and refreshed and I could not see any white cast. If I have to use a lot of dry shampoo I sometimes feel like the Batiste one gives too much texture so that the hair feels a bit sticky. With this one that was not an issue. I will for sure pick up Co Lab again, but maybe another scent. I am not sold on unicorns after all.

#144 – Heimish All Clean Balm: This is a great cleansing balm that melts to an oil and remove makeup very efficiently. Have gone through many many jars of this, and I can absolutely see myself picking up more. Works wonders without being too expensive.

#145 – Bella Lucce Argan & Acacia Rich Body Creme: The body cremes form Bella Lucce are so luxurios and good I would happily pick this up again. Sadly the line is discontinues. Such a bummer because it was among my favorite body care lines with spa quality.

IMG_20181220_121908_090.jpg

#146 – Rituals Shanti Shower Soothing Shower Oil: Nice, hydrating rose scented shower oil. Shower oils are excellent to prevent dry skin after a shower. I love that this one comes with a pump. Will pick up another one of these!

#147 – Rituals Brilliant Bliss Nourishing Ultra Shine Shampoo: This one really does leave my hair nice and shine. I do however miss a bit of volume when I use it. It’s not a bad shampoo, I just think my hair needs something slightly different, and I am not sure if I would pick this up again. Maybe is my hair change.

#148 – Rituals Shikakai Secret Nourishing Ultra Shine Conditioner: This matches the shampoo. Give a lot of nourishing and shine, but makes my hair a bit flat. I need something that also helps a bit with volume.

IMG_20181220_121927_397.jpg

#149 – Mario Badescu Facial Spray: I tried using it as both as facial spray and as a finishing spray for makeup. It did absolutely nothing for me. But the good thing about sprays like these are that you can use them to dampen your makeup brushes so you don’t have to waist your good stuff. Will not pick this up again, and honestly I don’t know why so many rave about this. Scented water in a bottle.

#150 – Clarins Lip Comfort Oil: I really liked the scent and how it felt on my lips in the beginning. I even had it in my monthly favorites over a year ago or so. But as time went by I figured it was kind of over priced for what it is. I mean, the product is good, but I have cheap lip balms that are just as hydrating. I don’t think I will repurchase.

Did you try any of these products? What are your thought on them? Let me know in the comments!

Trash Talk – My latest empties!

IMG_20181213_120344_734.jpg

I have a hard time keeping myself updated on these posts. I feel like I constantly have a new one ready to go. It’s fun though, and it’s a nice way to get a few mini reviews out fast! I had a goal to reach 200 empties this year, and even though I feel like I constantly empty something I see that I will have a hard time reaching my goal. Oh well, maybe next year! But let’s got through my beauty trash and have a look at what I’ve finished!

IMG_20181213_120406_181.jpg

First some hair care stuff!

#135 – Redken Frizz Dismiss Smoothe Force Conditioning Spray: Holy grail moisturizing spray to use after every shower. This one has been one of my go-to hair care products for over 3 years now. I have been through countless bottles, and there will be more!

#136 – LUSH R&B Hair Moisturizer: This one I had for a very long time, and to be honest I’ve struggled a bit to finish it. It’s a bit too heavy for my hair, and I have to use just the tiniest bit for it to work for me. That comibined with the fact that I didn’t love the scent made it a long process. I think this is more suitable for peolpe with thick curly hair, and it was a bit too much for my nordic curls.

#137 – KMS Add Volume Hair Spray: I just picked up this little sample to test it out. If you read my November Haul post you probably already know I like this because I just picked up a full size bottle. It gives volume while making my hair smell and feel almost clean again!

IMG_20181213_120429_564.jpg

#138 Haus of Gloi Pumpkin Butter “Spider Silk”: The pumpkin butters from Haus of Gloi always will be my favorite! This is in the fresh delicious scent “Spider Silk” which is one of their fall scents. I already have a new jar of this, among my large Haus of Gloi collection.

#139 Bella Lucce Arabian Odyssey Nourishing Sandalwood & Almond Creme: This is a beautiful formulated body butter that feels very luxurious and give just the right amount of moisture for me. The scent is also sweet, warm, oriental and cozy. Sadly this brand does not exist anymore, which is kind of heartbreaking. I would for sure repurchase if it was possible.

#140 Bomb Cosmetics Cranberry & Lime Oil Based Body Scrub: Loving this! You can read the full review here if you want to know more. I will pick up another one of these for sure!

IMG_20181213_120452_630.jpg

#141 – Missha Super Aqua Refreshing Cleansing Foam: This one was OK, but not great. It does the job and the skin feels clean, but it also makes me feel a bit tight and dry. Nothing my facial cream can’t fix, but there sure are better cleansers out there so I rather pick up something else.

#142 Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer C4: Love this concealer! I have already mentioned it among my top 5 concealers. I already got a new one of this that I started using. It’s just a fantastic formula for such a reasonable price!

Did you finish anything fun lately?

Let’s Talk Some Trash Again!

As usually when I refer to trash talk, I mean actual trash, more specific makeup and beauty trash. Once again I have a small pile of products to go through with you. I had a goal to reach 200 empties this year, and that’s why I’ve been numbering them but I think that goal may have been a bit too high. I am not going to try to use products faster just to reach it either. That would just be waistful.

IMG_20180923_185758_696.jpg

So these are the products we will go through today. Do you spot anything you like?

IMG_20180923_190910_653.jpg

#121 Batiste Dry Shampoo Tropical – I really like Batiste dry shampoos. they really do get the job done, and in the mean time they give some texture and volume to your hair. The downside with this one is that it does leave a white cast in my dark brown hair. I do prefer the ones for brunettes, and I will pick that one up soon!

#122 Yves Rocher Velvet Shower Cream “Coffee Beans” – This really just smell like freshly ground coffee beans in a sweet way. The scent is absolutely divine! I will absolutely get another one of these next time I decide to do and Yves Rocher order (which is unfortunately not that often, but I should consider making one soon). I think this is my 4th or 5th bottle of this!

IMG_20180923_185824_372.jpg

#123 Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask – I bet you have heard all the rave about this many times before. I did like it. It felt very moisturizing. I may pick this one up again. The only drawback is that I can’t get this in store where I live, but I have access to plenty of other ones in store. Chances are I am more likely to pick up something that is more available, but absolutely a good product though!

#124 Eylure Lash Glue – The glue itself works well enough. But the tube looks absolutely disgusting after a short times use and I considered binning it half way. I made it through, mostly because I was too lazy to pick up another lash glue.

#125 Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Pencil “Ultra Black” – This one is mentioned in a huge amount of product lists underneath my makeup look pictures. This is my go-to when I need a black eyeliner. I already have a new one opened. This is one of my holy grails that I need on hand at all times!

IMG_20180923_185900_797.jpg

#126 Haus of Gloi Pumpkin Butter “Zazz” – This is so good! Like all the pumpkin butters are. If you haven’t tried them already you are missing out! This one smells like sparkling champagne and frizzy sweets. It’s so strange but it smells exactly like that to me. Very sparkly, summery fresh and sweet at the same time. This scent makes me happy!

#127 Haus Of Gloi Pumpking Butter “Twice is Nice” – Same goes for this one, the lotion is just lovely. The scent is lovely too, and I’ve been trough many jars of this exact one. It’s also sweet like the previous, but richer and deeper with tones of coconut, sugar cookie and almonds.

#128 Dove Summer Revived Gradual Tanning Lotion – I’ve talked about this before. I picked up to less than four of them on sale believing they were normal lotions (note to self; look at what you are buying!). When I started getting a weird orange hue to my skin I realized it was a gradual tanner. But the color is orange and it fades awfully patchy. After one or two days the color is almost not visible though. So I was able to finish it by just using it a bit here and there and it didn’t really give me any color after one use. I will not buy this one again though!

Did you finish anything fun lately? Or have you maybe tried any of these products? What are your thought on them?

XOXO

My latest empties!

Time for yet another empties post. These are so much fun to make because it give me an opportunity to write about my experience of all the products I’ve finished. So these are the latest ones!

IMG_20180923_190934_716.jpg

This time we have a good mixture of old favorites, holy grail product and a few things that just did not work for me.

IMG_20180923_191022_602.jpg

#114 Prettysmooth Intensive Body Moisturiser Aloe Vera: I am always on the hunt for good but affordable body lotions because I go through them so quickly. So I decided to pick this up because it cost very little, and I usually like the mild scent of aloe vera in body lotions. This one was just OK. I felt like it was maybe a bit less moisturizing than what I prefer so I probably won’t pick up this again. On the other hand it was absorbed quickly into the skin and felt nice, so if you are not in that much need of a heavy skin moisturizer this may be just good enough for you. Personally I will probably reach for something else next time I am shopping. Not bad, just not what I am looking for.

#115 Redken Frizz Dismiss Smooth Force Leave-In Spray: I don’t know how may bottles of this one I’ve picked up so far, but you have probably seen this up to several times if you have been reading some of my other empties post. This is a holy grail and it does wonder to keep my curls unfrizzed but still not being too heavy. Perfect for everyday use. I already have a new bottle opened and a backup in the mail. I need to have a bottle of this at any time. Big big favorite!

#116  LUSH American Pie Shower Jelly: This was kind of an error. I love the American Cream conditioner from LUSH, and I thought this was a shower gel with the same scent. It does have the same delicious scent, but this is one of their shower jellys. I find it a bit clumsy to deal with compared to a liquid shower gel. I love the scent, and it gets the job done, but it’s just not my favorite way of using soap. I don’t even like to eat jelly that much.

#117 House Of Gloi Pumpkin Butter – Insalata Nocturna: Off course I love this one. I have an army of House Of Gloi Pumpkin Butters in my bathroom and this scent has been a long time favorite. I have a small stash of this scent since it’ limited too their summer scent collection. I have been loving these pumpkin butters since the first time I tried them back in 2012 I believe. I will always always keep buying these.

#118 ELF eyebrow pencil – This one was a miss. Really waxy and not so pigmented. The packaging is flimsy and cheap and the cap covering the spoolie broke in no time. Will not repurchase.

IMG_20180923_190959_336.jpg

#119 Rituals The Ritual of Dao Body Cream – The body cream form Rituals are really nice. The packaging is big and luxurious and the cream itself gives a lot of moisture without being sticky. It sinks into the skin nicely. Just a great quality cream. The scent is nice and fresh. I may repurchase this one, I will definitely repurchase this cream in other scents (Happy Buddah is my favorite).

#120 Rituals The Ritual of Dao Foaming Shower Gel – I love these shower gels form Rituals. I have two other scents standing in my shower as we speak. It gives such a nice luxurious foam. The only downside is that they run out fairly quickly. I will for sure pick up these again, but maybe not this scent. Not because I don’t like this one. It’s simply because I like some of the other scents more.

I don’t know if I have mentioned it, but I had kind of set me a goal to finish 200 products this year. I feel like I go through products quickly, and I feel like I always am a bit behind on writing these post because I constantly have a small pile of empties laying around. Still I am not sure if I will make it. But all hope is not out and I still have a few more months left to try and reach my goal.

Did you finish anything fun lately?

Let’s Trash Talk!

And No, I am not referring to the ridiculous amount of drama going on in the beauty community right now. I am talking about my undramatic empties that I finished lately and want to share with you.

And I reached over 100 empties so far! I am quite happy with that, although I see people who count empties finishing 200-250 products a year, and it looks like I am not even close to that. I was under the impression that I went through products like wildfire, but I guess it’s not that bad after all.

IMG_20180826_120159_655.jpg

These are the items I’ve finished. The apple is an eye catches isn’t it? We will get to that in a moment!

IMG_20180826_204816_206.jpg

#106 Yves Rocher Energizing  Bath & Shower Gel Lemon Basil – This has such a nice fresh and herbal lemon scent, I sometimes feel like lemon scented products can remind me a bit to much about dish washing soap, but this one has a lovely authentic scent. I am sure I will pick up a new one of these!

#107 Skinfood Truffle Age Defying Cream – This really smells like truffles! It’s a nice rich cream that  I’ve been using as my nighttime moisturizer. I think it is a bit too heavy to use for daytime. It gives my skin tons of moisture and I did really like it. I may pick up this one again, but not immediately, partly because I still think I can find something better.

IMG_20180826_132730_231.jpg

#108 Tolymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream – The packaging is so cute. Yes it’s a bit cheap and childish looking, but I also think it’s kind of cute. Besides not that it’s empty and washed it can double as a toy. I now a 4-year old who loves playing picnic and I think this will be something she would like. I did really like how it worked too. My skin looked so clear and refreshed after using this. And every time I felt a bit grey or dull, I reached for this and put on a mask afterwards and that usually helped a lot. I may pick this one up again soon!

#109 Missha Deep Clear Cleansing Balm – Today is the day for Korean empties I guess! I do love testing out Korean skincare though, because they have so much cheap and good stuff. This was a nice and efficient cleansing balm that did the job very satisfying. A fresh citrus scent match the nice bright orange packaging well. I would not mind buying this one again, but the Heimish one is still my favorite.

IMG_20180826_204908_620.jpg

#110 L’Oreal True Match Concealer – This was in my project pan 2018, and I am happy to see it empty because it’s been a long road. The shade is slightly too dark so I could only use this a few weeks in summer. Needless to say it’s a few years old and probably past expiration date. The formula was OK, but it didn’t do anything special to me. I have so many others I prefer so I won’t pick up this again.

#111 Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24 H – This one you’ve probably seen a lot because it’s been on the list of products used in a makeup look almost every single time. This is a great great gel liner. It’s very black, applies easy and has great staying power! I will pick up a new for sure, I just have another old one I want to force myself to finish before I pick up a fresh new one of this!

IMG_20180826_204844_311.jpg

#112 The Ordinary Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2 % – Great skincare at an affordable price. I am all here for it! And The Ordinary really have some great products. I really did like this one too. It’s a nice peel I’ve been using a few times a week before bedtime and it seems to actually be working. I mean, I can feel it working, and it prevents clogged pores. Already got a new one in my bathroom ready to go!

#113 L’Oreal Paradise Extatic Mascara – This is my second tube and it wont be the last. It’s just as good as people say, and I have yet to find another drugstore mascara I like just as much. I haven’t picked up a new one yet but I will, and in the mean time I will be missing it. Great great mascara!

Empties – This time I got some great ones!

IMG_20180808_093824_322.jpg

Time to chat about empties again, and I got a small mixture of products for you. I actually finished a lot of good products here, so I have many to recommend to you!

IMG_20180808_093851_690.jpg

#100 Lioele Water Drop Sleeping Pack: I already wrote a full review of this product which you can have a look at here if you want to read more in depth about it. But I still think it is a great product and I realize that now that it’s been empty for a little while that I miss is from my skincare routine. I need to pick up a new one, and I highly recommend it!

#101 Nature Republic Himalaya Salt Cleansing Balm: A great makeup remover, and I have finished quite a few jars of this now. It is a wonderful balm that melts into the skin and removes even the most stubborn makeup quite easily. I will for sure buy this again because not only is it a fantastic makeup remover, it is also cheap!

IMG_20180813_104055_256.jpg

#102 John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash: This smells absolutely divine. I’ve had this for years because I have been saving it. It is quite expensive to be a body wash, and not something I wanted to rush through because there are so many great cheaper body washes that works great so it feels kind of silly to spend this much money on one. But, that being said it is worth it because the smell is amazing and it feels luxurious as well. A very good body wash, but a bit on the pricey side. I may pick it up again though, because I do like it and I do like this brand in general.

#103 Avalon Organics Volumizing Rosemary Shampoo: Now over to something good and cheap. I tried quite a few of the Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioners and I generally find them to be a great and cheap organic option. This one was refreshing with a nice herbal rosemary scent and it did help with volume and shine as well. I do recommend, and I may pick this one up again at some point. I just have a few to many shampoos at the moment.

IMG_20180813_104114_584.jpg

#104 Bergamo Magic Snail B.B Cream: This was a part of my project pan. I initially put it in the project because I tried it once and I thought I didn’t love it so I wanted to just get it out of my collection. Now I am in love, and I need to get a new one. It just looks so great on the skin. It gives medium coverage and a dewy finish, but it is very skin-like at the same time. And the best thing is that it fades nicely, so even when it starts wearing off (it’s a B.B Cream after all and longevity is not supreme) it still looks OK. After a full work day has faded a bit, but after 8 hours that’s acceptable for a BB.I will buy this again! The only bad thing (like with many other Korean face products) is that the shade options are very limited-

#105 Lancôme Volume-à-Porter Mascara: I usually really like Lancôme mascaras. I like this one too. It gives a nice feathery look to the lashes. Nothing huge in volume or length, but good for days when you want natural but beautiful lashes. Did not smudge on me, and stayed put all day so that’s a good thing as well. I may repurchase in the future.

That’s all for now. Did you finish anything fun lately?

And by the way, you can find me on Bloglovin and Instagram as well!
