A bit over two months into my project pan it’s time to do an update about how things are going! If you would like to read the introduction of the project first then have a look here.
These are the perfumed bundle I started out with. I haven’t gotten anything done on the body lotions. I just didn’t start using any of them so fa, but I think I will get started on the Mon Paris body lotion now in March.
I have been using the solid perfumes and the body mists a little bit. It’s hard to tell how much progress I have done on the solid perfumes, but I did put a mark on how far I have come on the Bella Lucce Japanese Yuzu Linen and Body Mist and the Bella Lucce Arabian Odysse Linen & Body Mist. I mainly use them as body mists, but I also use the Japanese Yuzu spray as a bathroom refresher.
I also had these two face masks (you add water, juice or milk depending on your skin type). But I have only been working on the Bella Lucce Peruvian Cocoa Azul Renewing Mask. The other one I reckoned I would not be able to finish before I moved, so that is stored in a box until we pack out. That gives me time to work on the cocoa mask, and the other one I have been saving until we have moved and gotten settled in our new home in late April.
This is the progress I’ve gotten on the Bella Lucce Peruvian Cocoa Azul Renewing Mask. I try to use it twice every week, and I use two teaspoons of powder every time. I have definitely reduced the amount of product a good amount but I don’t think this will be empty before we move in April.
This is what I started with in January regarding these masks and the hair oil.
And this is were I am at now. The Skinfood Strawberry Exfoliating Mask is finished, and so is the Origins Ginzing Refreshing Face Mask. Both of them I have talked about in my empties posts. I did not have very much in these to begin with so they were very easy to finish. The hair oil I put a mark on where I am at. My plan was to put this in the ends of my hair before I go to bed, but I have been quite good at forgetting to do so, so progress have not been as good as it could’ve been. I will try to remember it a bit more often. The The Body Shop Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Face Mask I had about half left of when I started and I managed to use it all up. This one is just finished. This is a nice moisturizing mask and I’ve been using it 2-3 times a week now in January and big parts of February.
These are the five foundations/BB Creams I started my project with.
And these are the ones I have left. The Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Moisturizing I finished rather quickly. It was much left less than what I was aware of. The Coloupop No Filter Foundation and the Tonymoly Luminous Goddess Aura BB Cream have been in my monthly makeup bag once each, so I got a good month use out of both of them. It’s really hard to tell how much I actually have left, but I am guessing I am about halfway through both of them. The Coloupop No Filter Foundation will also be in my March makeup bag so I will do even more damage to that soon. The A’Pieu Natural BB Cream Matt Finish and the Milani Conceal + Perfect 3-in-1 Foundation + Concealer I haven’t gotten around to use yet, so they are still the same amount as when the project started, but I will store the A`Pieu one in my bathroom so I remember to use it if I need a foundation for weekends or evenings. The Milani foundation is a tad too dark for me in winter, so that one will get some more use in summer.
I also started out with these five concealers, and I have to say I am pretty happy about the progress.
Right now this is what I am left with! So 2 out of 5 are already gone. The Wet N Wild Photofocus Concealer I knew I was almost out of so I knew I would finish that one early on, but the Smashbox Studio Skin 24 hours Waterproof Concealer surprised me. I thought I had much more left but a good months use was all I got out of it before I ran out. I haven’t used the Maybelline Anti-Age Eye Eraser Concealer at all, so that one is still the same, but the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer I have used quite a bit and I think I have only about 1/5 left of it. The NYX HD Studio Photogenic Concealer I also had in my February makeup bag and I used it a good month. I think I have maybe half of it left. That means I may be running out of concealer much faster in this project than I though, so I might pull in another one as I progress. Or I will just use whatever I want from my collection.
These are the 8 lip products I picked and how much I had of each when the project started.
I got some progress on these guys too. They are almost the only lip products I have been using the last two months. The only one I feel progress is really slow with is the Estee Lauder High Gloss. I only used this two times, so I need to get to work on that one!
The MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss (first in the row, the name sticker underneath is gone), I got a tiny bit of progress on, but I have been reaching for the other two a lot more, so they show much more use. I think I should be able to finish the MAC Plushglass Lip Gloss “Fashion Fanatic”(last one of the three) within the next two months. The H&M Sheer Lipstick “Arabesque” I have just a little bit left of. I am pretty sure this will run out within the first two or three weeks of March, giving me time to focus more on the rest of the products. The Isadora Jelly Kiss Lipstick “Bare Bliss” is my first empty one! Yay! It’s always so satisfying to finish a product in a project, especially a lip product. I really like this one so I am a bit sad to see it go, but I do have plenty of nudes like this in my collection so I will probably do just fine without it. On the Clinique Long Lasting GlossWear “Black Honey” I used mainly the gloss stick, and not so much the gloss on the other side, but you can see a little bit of wear on this one too!
The tube glosses are really hard to tell. But as mentioned the Estee Lauder High Gloss have barely been used. The Too Faced Mood Swing Emotionally Activated Lip Gloss I got some more use out of. I keep this one at home and not in my monthly makeup bag and I try to reach for this one in the evenings and weekends. I think I am half way though the tube now but it has 13.3 ml (strange amount) of product so it will still be a while before I run out.
Overall I think I do good progress and I still have hopes to finish them all before the year is over.
I had only one bronzer, the Kiko Flawless Fusion Powder Bronzer which was barely used to begin with.
This is where I am now. It’s a bit hard to tell on this picture, but I do actually have a tiny dent, and the imprinted logo is now worn off. I really like this bronzer. It blends very easy and the color is light enough so I can use it without thinking too much about it in winter. It can get a bit too light during summer, but I think I should be able to pan it even if I put it down for a few months.
I started with these four powders, or actually maybe the amount is more like three because both the Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro-Powder and the Dior Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Fresh Powder was fairly well used.
This is the current status. I have used both of those mentioned above fairly much, and I also got some pan showing in the Hope Girl Powder Compact. The only one I haven’t used so far is Lancôme Poudre Majeure Excellence but I am pulling it in my March makeup bag. I am pretty sure I will be out f the Charlotte Tilbury powder by next update, and maybe I will have finished one more.
My only highlighter is Colourpop Super Shock Highlighter in Lunch Money.
I have used this a lot in January. Every day actually, but I have been on a little break from it in February since I also want to use my other highlighters. I really do like this highlighter. I can absolutely see myself replacing it once it’s gone. It is quite subtle so it also work as a base for other highlighters if I want to pair them. As you can see from the picture it shows a bit more pan, but maybe not as much as I expected based on how much it’s used.
The Zoeva Brow Spectrum I have used a whole bunch too! I love this palette!
I got some nice dents in Bro70 and Bro40, but Bro80 is maybe the one that I have the most wear in. My goal was to hit pan in three shades. They really do take a long time to get through though considering I have been using them quite consistently over a full year before this project started, but I still think I can hit pan on at least those three shades. I love reaching for this, so I really don’t mind that it takes a while. When this is old and done I am pretty sure I will repurchase it. It must be the most versatile brow product out there, and they can also bee used as eyeshadows or cheek highlighters!
And now we are left with the really fun part: Palettes!
I have seven palettes in this years project and my goal is to hit pan in one shade each. If you want to see the palettes you can just have a look at my Introduction Post because here I will only show you which ones I have been working on. So far I only managed to work on three palettes.
The first one. The Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette, is fun to show you, because this is my first pan! I already had pan in the shade “Cream” from before, so I hit my goal with this when i hit pan on “Mauve”. This is now my only eyeshadow palette with two pans in my collection!
Colourpop Fame I have been working really hard on, because I had it in my monthly makeup bag in both January and February. I got a pretty decent dent in three of the shades, but no pans yet. However, I am expecting to hit pan on “Center Stage” almost every time I use this now, so it should not be any problem hitting pan in this. However, since it’s cool toned I may put it away and pull it back out in October/November. I usually reach for more warm eyeshadows in spring and summer.
The last palette I got some use out of is the Morphe X Jacklyn Hill palette. I have been reaching for this one in the weekends, and I also use the black shade “Abyss” very consistently to set my eyeliner.
All in all, I am quite happy with my progress. I got a lot of things done so far, and still have a lot left to work on. Having a project pan and getting some pans and empties really is fun. Do you have a project pan for 2019?
