Whats in my makeup bag – April 2018!

Time for another monthly makeup bag rotation and update. Picking out products for my monthly makeup bag have been quite easy lately because I have my project pan products to work on. So sorry for the repetition from previous months. I do love picking out my selection of products I will use for my everyday makeup each month. I get so much motivation to test out and wear my makeup. I think this is the big reason why I don’t just skip it and sleep an extra 20 minutes every morning. I just get inspired when I mix up my daily makeup routine regularly. Do you rotate your makeup in some sort of way?

This is what I will work in this month:

Off course I have to add some stuff I am not working on panning just to have some variation. I am getting quite bored by using the same blush to be honest. Even though I really like the quality and the shade of the blush I am panning, I kind of feel that I can’t see much progress on it. Is it even possible to pan a blush I start to wonder? I am sure it is, I just wish I could see more progress. I guess I just have to keep on working and eventually some change must show up.

The base products are these guys:

  • NYX Angel Veil Primer – Not something I am panning, just a nice smoothing base.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Bouncing – This one I am trying to pan. I really like the Holike Holika BB Creams and I may even repurchase this when I run out.
  • Wet N’ Wild Photofocus Concealer – A new product I am trying to get to know. Hopefully it works well.
  • Makeup Revolution Pro Illuminating Fixing Spray – I have no idea why they call this illuminating because I see no such quality of this product, but the mist is fine and it makes my makeup set nice so it’s OK.
  • History of Woo Jewel Powder – I use this again this month. It is a massive jar of powder and I am working on panning it just because the container is soooo big and it clogs up the space in my powder drawer. I can fit 4 powders in the space this takes. So even though I really like it I want to pan it and get rid of it just for the size. It will probably take me all year though. It is never ending!

For highlighters, blush and bronzer I have this nice collection to pick from:

  • Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter “Starlight” – I like this one just as much as my Cover FX custom enhancer drops. My preferred way of using it is to mix it with my foundation for a nice health glow.
  • Essence Pure Nude Highlighter “Be My Highlight” – I mention this in my favorites before, because I absolutely love it. Can be a all over subtle glow, or be built up as a nice cheek highlighter. I just had to have it in my makeup bag again because I missed having it in my everyday routine. It is just perfect for everyday makeup looks.
  • MAC Cream Color Base “Pearl” – This cream highlighter also gives a gorgeous more subtle glow. This is one of my first highlighters actually. One of the highlighters I had some years ago when my highlighter collection counted only three products. This one, The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer and MAC Soft & Gentle.
  • The Balm Cabana Boy Blush – Nice blush with fun packaging. I haven’t used it too much so I want to get some more use out of it.
  • Glominerals Blush “Papaya” – My never ending project pan blush. I like it, but progress is so slow!
  • NARS Blush “‘Zen” – I actually use this more as a bronzer because the slightly pink undertone makes it really nice and natural on my winter skin. This is a project pan product that I might hit pan on this month. If I don’t I will have to wait until fall again because I expect the color to not match that well by the end of April.
  • Everyday Minerals Blush “Summer Stroll” – I have quite a few of these blushers, but since I am a bit over that trend when everything was a loose powder I rarely use these blushes. This is a very nice color though, and I really should try to use these more.

Not that many lipsticks this month either. Three of these are in my project pan and that’s why I picked out so few. I hope to finish at least one of them in April or May, and I need to get to work to make that happen. I had to throw in a new gloss to get something else too.

  • NYX Butter Gloss “Crème Brulee” – Just a nice simple gloss to use when I am sick of my project pan lippies.
  • L’Oreal Shine Delicieux Lipstick in shade 130 – Project pan lipstick. I hope to focus on this now because when I get a bit more tan, this color does not suit me, so it’s just better on my winter complexion.
  • Korres Mango Butter Lipstick “Neutral Pink” – Project pan lipstick. I have really been enjoying this actually. The colro is perfect for every day and the formula is so comfy and buttery. I also love that it has SPF and shea butter.
  • Too Faced Lip Injection – My last project pan lippie. I finished the other gloss recently which leaves me with three lippies to finish. that should work well!

Finally, the most interesting part! I had to put the Zoeva En Taupe in for another month. I am very close to hitting pan on the base shade in the upper left corner, but I also have some pretty decent dents in the third and forth shade in the top row. I hope to hit pan on at least one of these shades my the end of April.

Just to mix things up I put together a 9 pan palette with Makeupgeek single shadows. I feel I get too little use out of my single pans which is a shame so I will try to remember adding some of them to my makeup bag every month. I got some good use out of my 10-pan Inglot palette last month as well, so I hope to keep up the trend. After all I love collecting single pans and should aim to get more usage out of them.

So, not too many product this month since I’m working hard on panning, but hopefully that will give some exciting panning results in the end.

What’s in my makeup bag – March 2018? Get ready for work edition!

New month, and that means new content in my makeup bag. If you have been following my blog for a while you already know that this is not the makeup I will focus only on using for March solely, but the makeup I will use to get ready for work. I do a lot of makeup also in the afternoons and weekends just to get around to test out products for reviews or just to get a bit creative.

So this is a flatlay mess of all the products I will be using. I didn’t pick out that many products this time,  the reason being that I have a project pan going on this year, and I don’t want too much to pick from in my everyday makeup bag just to be able to get some damage done on the products I want to finish.

These are the base products I am using throughout march:

  • Smashbox Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer.
  • Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops – Celestial: Love mixing this with foundations/bb creams.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream – Aqua: Really nice and affordable BB Cream. I am working on panning this.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream – Moistruizing: Same as the Aqua one.
  • Catrice Liquid Camouflage Concealer Once again, a nice and affordable product. This is a must try if you haven’t already!
  • History of Woo Jewel loose powder: Another project pan product. This one is huuuuuge!
  • Colourpop Aventurine Setting Spray: I will be using this, but I will pour the product over to another bottle, simply because this one is useless.

I picked very few lip products this month, and that’s because all of these are lippies I am working on panning. So I wanted to focus as much as possible on them. I may add a few more lippies if I get too tired of them, but at first I will stick to these.

  • L’Oreal Shine Delicieux Lipstick in shade 13: This was in my February makeup bag as well, but the work will continue. I managed to do a bit of damage last month, so maybe I will see the end of it by april? Fingers crossed!
  • Too Faced Lip Injection – Golden Shade: Project pan gloss. About 2/3 left.
  • Too Faced Lip Injection – Pink Shade: Also project pan gloss.
  • Korres Mango Butter Lipstick – Natural Pink: This is a perfect natural, easy-to-wear lipstick you can just slap on and run. Again, this is also in my panning project.

And then we got face powders!

  • Sigma ChromaGlow Shimmer + Highlight Palette: This is perfect to have in an everyday makeup bag because I have my choices of highlighters and in addition several of these shades will double as a blush-topper so I kind of get two in one. I have tried it a bit, and I am so far very pleased with it. Happy to get to know this beauty a bit more during March.
  • NARS Blush – Zen: This is a project pan blush. The good thing about this it that it can be used as a brown with a slight hint of pink contour shade, which may sound odd, but it gives a nice effect on winter skin. It just does not look muddy or grey on the skin as some cool toned contours will do. It just looks natural. Off course that is for a light hand to get a subtle dimension for everyday looks. For evenings out I tend to do a bit more with my contour, but this is great for everyday in winter. It is also a super natural blush shade.
  • The Balm Balm Springs: Don’t you think The Balm have the cutest packaging? I got this one last fall but I didn’t use it more than a couple of times. About time this gets some attention!
  • MAC Mineralized Skinfinish – Refined: Absolutely gorgeous glowing face powder. Not as an over all setting powder, but to highlight and give glow to certain areas. Or jsut use it straight up as a highlighter.
  • Tarina Tarantino Dollskin Cheek Blush – Feather: I have been a huge fan of these blushes for years now. No idea why no one else seems to know about them. They are great formula and beautiful packaging!
  • Glominerals Globlush – Papaya: Project pan blush. Had it in my makeup bag in February too and it shown no wear at all. Panning blushes is a patience game for sure. I guess I just need to keep working on it!

I am excited to use all of these goodies. My face better look freaking beautiful with all these nice products on (at least we can hope)!

And the grand finale: eyeshadows! This month I will focus on one of my palettes to pan. I picked out four palettes where I want to pan at least one shade in each palette during 2018, and Modern Renaissance was one of them. I hope to get some work done on this in March. I have used it a bit so maaaaaybe I will manage to hit one pan? Maybe? We will see. At the end of March or very beginning of April I plan on posting a project pan update so we will know by then for sure. Untill then I will just enjoy using it, because it it truly a wonderful palette.

The other palette I plan on using is a custom made Inglot palette. I wanted to focus a bit more on building my Inglot collection so I got 19 shadows second hand, so that’s awesome! This is 10 of them, and since they are nice, wearable neutral shades I figured they would fit nicely on an everyday makeup bag!

Lastly, I got myself another one of those L’Oreal Paradise Extatic mascaras since I finished one recently and wanted a new one.

As usual I have eyeliner, eyeshadow primer, browpencil and skincare already at work which I don’t mix up so they stay the same every month.

Do you have a rotation program for your makeup?

Whats in my makeup bag – February 2018!

I just want to get started playing around with these goodies!

This month I only have one makeup bag, because I will now run to work every day and do my makeup there and I don’t have the need for having another bag at home like I did in January. So yay for full exercise recovery (I had an accident….woopsie), and yay for new exciting stuff to do my makeup with every morning!

Anyway, I am very excited this month because I get to properly start working on some of my project pan 2018 products. And some new stuff off course! So without further ado, here is the full list of products:

  • Huda Beauty 3D Highlighter Palette Winter Solstice – I got it last month I think? But haven’t had a chance to play around with it (too much stuff) so now I am getting to know this!
  • Zoeva En Taupe Palette – Old friend which is one of my 4 palettes I want to pan this year. Not properly finish them, but just hit pan on at least one shade in each. This is a very nice cool-toned neutral palette.
  • Colourpop Pressed Powder Shadows: Game Changer, Glass Bull, Made To Last, Paper Crane –  I want to use my single pan shadows a bit more often.
  • Colourpop Aquamarine Setting Spray – Awful think, I just want to use this when I finish the other one.
  • Kiko Matte Fusion Pressed Powder – OK powder. Hit a proper pan on this.
  • YSL Blush Volupté in shade 4 – Got this on January sales, and figured bright pink is nice on pale winter skin.
  • Bare Minerals Stroke of Light Concealer – Super light weight concealer that does more brightening than covering. Nice on no-makeup-makeup days.
  • NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer “Vanilla” – Project pan product. Maybe I will finish it this month. Love it, and will definitely get a new one.
  • The Ordinary High-Adherance Silicone Primer – New primer I need to test out.
  • The Body Shop Matte Clay Skin Clarifying Foundation – New foundation. Never tried it but it sounds promising.
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Bouncing – Project pan product. Really nice BB cream but I had it for a while now.
  • Youngblood Sugar Plum Blush – Super pretty natural glowing blush. Got this on sale in January as well so I need to give it a proper testing.
  • Clarins Fix Make-Up Spray – Only A tiny bit left. Hope to finish this month. Will probably repurchase.
  • Essence Pure Nude Highlighter “Be My Highlight” – Natural highlighter for a beautiful glow from within kind of glow.
  • Too Faced Lip Injection – Project pan product. Just a transparent gloss with a faint pink sheen.
  • NYX Liquid Suede “Tea & Cookies” – New shade, well known and loved formula. This seems like a nice wearable pink.
  • Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip “Moonchild” – New gloss. Part of the Kathleen Lights collection. Looks very pretty.
  • Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip “Dreamy” – New satin lip. Also looks super wearable and perfect for work.
  • L’Oreal Shine Delicieax Lipstick – Old thing, just 1/4 left. This is also a project pan lippie.
  • Glominerals Globlush “Papaya” – Project pan blush. Nice, matte, peachy shade for everyday use.
  • NARS Zen – Another project pan product. This is originally a blush but this works very good as a soft bronzer on my pale winter skin. Not to dark or too orange, but slightly pinky yet still neutral. Will also look nice as a blush but I intend on using this as a bronzer.
  • Iconic London Illuminator – Just to add some glow to my foundation or directly as a liquid highlighter.
  • The Body Shop Eyeshadow Quad “Swinging Silver” – Got this last year but never used it too much. Wanted to get the chance to play a bit more with it.
  • Colourpop Super Shock Shadows: I ❤ This, Blaze, Truth, Mixed Tape – I should really play more with my Super Shock Shadows before they dry out. All these shades are so pretty!

As usual I have a small storage of some basics permanently at work like skincare, brow products, eyeliners, eyeshadow primer and so on that I don’t change up every month. So those are not on the picture even though I off course do my brows every day.

I am super excited to play around with my eyeshadows this month. I think the cool-toned shades in Zoeva En Taupe are perfect for winter. I also want to try to pick out a few of my pan eyeshadows every month because I feel they don’t get nearly as much attention as they should, and I love collecting them!

Mostly i am excited about doing some damage on my panning project. You can read more in detail about what I am planning to pan this year here.

I didn’t pick too many lippies this month due to two of them being project pan lippies, so I want to spend this month on fewer products just to get around to using up a bit of them. If I get bored I may add some more, but I will just see how it goes first.

Lastly, I forgot to add the mascara, but I decided to go with Maybelline (not so)Great Lash for another month and hopefully put it in the bin by the end of February.

Do you have any products you want to give some extra attention this month?

What in my makeup bag – January 2018!

New year, new month, new content in my makeup bag!

If you haven’t read any of my previous “what is in my makeup bag?” – posts let me just quickly explain. Every month I select products I will keep in my makeup bag to use when I do my makeup for work. I will use a lot of additional products in the weekends, if I reapply in the evening or just when I play around with makeup, but these products are what I will use for my work friendly day-face through January.

As you may see I got two sets here. The reason is that I usually run to work every day, and take a shower and do my makeup there. Since I sustained injury a few months ago I had to stop running for a while, but I am now getting started again. However, I can’t run 10 km every day straight away so I need a little time to regain my usual fitness, so to avoid overwork-injuries I also bike to work a few days a week to give my legs a rest from running. The days I bike I eat breakfast and get ready at home so that is why you see two different pictures. The top picture is the makeup I keep at work to get ready after running in the morning, and the bottom picture are the products I will keep at home when I get ready there.

Hopefully I will regain my stamina during January so that I can go back to running every morning by the beginning of February. So fingers crossed I will only need one makeup bag by next update.

The makeup bag I will keep at work has a lot of goodies!

  • Colourpop Golden State Of Mind – This palette only has shimmer shadows but I mean for it to compliment all the matte shades in the Tartelette Pro palette. I love myself a little shimmer even for day makeup!
  • Tarte Tartelette Pro Eyeshadow Palette – Brand new unused palette that I am really excited about. Lots of lovely wearable mattes. I usually really like the Tarte eyeshadow formula aswell!
  • Makeup Revolution Pro Fix Illuminating Fixing Spray – Because I always need to finish my makeup with a spray.
  • It’s Skin Prestige Make-up Gold Base – Nice lifting, firming moisturizing and softly illuminating primer.
  • Guerlain Lingerie De Peau Founation – My holy grail foundation!
  • Mac Lipstick Patesserie – Nude pinky beige with flecks of gold shimmer and lustre finish.
  • MakeupGeek Plush Matte “Marriage Material” – Lovely matte liquid lipstick in a nice rosy mauve.
  • Too Faced Mood Swing lipgloss – Berry toned gloss with high shine.
  • Nabla Liquid Lipstick “Roses” – As the name suggest a rosy liquid lip.
  • Tarte Skin Twinkle lighting palette – 2 shimmery and 1 matte highlighter. Excited to test this out since it is still brand new!
  • Linda Hallberg Infinity palette – face powders and eyeshadow all in one.
  • Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer – We all know this one right? Nice bronzer especially for winter skin.
  • Maybelline Master Chrome Metallic Highlighter “Molten Rose Gold” – A nice color alternative to the now so famous Molten Gold highlighter in the same range.
  • Maybelline Great Lash Mascara – Not so great, but I try to use it one last month before it expires. Trashing it would be a waist, and it is not awful so I can deal with this a bit more.
  • Chanel Correcteur Concealer – Lovely concealer. Have no idea why I never see anyone talk about it.
  • Maybelline Master Strobing Liquid – Because I need something to mix with the foundation the day I want some extra glow!
  • Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless Finish Skin Perfecting Micro- Powder – One of my very favorite powders. Lovely porcelen-doll-like finish.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clat 12 hour blush “Splendor” – Because I need to try the new blushes I got in the holiday kit.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clat 12 hour blush “Majesty” – Because I need to try the new blushes I got in the holiday kit.

I am as always very exited both to try out new products and revisit old favorites. One of the products I am a bit extra excited about is the Infinity palette by Linda Hallberg. I think it is so exciting that a makeup artist I have been following and admiring the talent of for years and years now have her own brand. This palette looks so incredibly clever too! You got everything for a basic eye look, and all the basic face powders all in one palette. I am excited to try this out properly, and I will definitely write a review when I got to try it enough.

I do have a lot of fun stuff in the makeup bag I have to leave at home too! I actually have quite a bit of products I am working on panning, and I am expecting to finish some of them completely.

  • Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder “Pink Glow” – New highlighter. Looks very promissing and I already like their classic shimmer bricks so I hope this will be as good!
  • Z-palette with Colourpop pressed powder eyeshadows – I have off course played a lot around with many of my pressed powder shadows before. They are great! But most of these I did not have the chance to try yet. But the shades looks gorgeous!
  • Zoeva Offline Eyeshadow Palette – Also new and unused.
  • L’Oreal Infallible Mattifying base – Just your typical silicone primer.
  • The Balm Sexy Mama Translucent Powder – Not much left of this now. I am aiming to finish this powder soon.
  • Oriflame Visions Peach Me Perfect Skin Glow – Had this for years, and I can’t stand it. It is so gooey and sticky on the face and just looks weird on me. It does have a faint shimmer so I put it in my makeup bag just to remember to use it (I hate throwing stuff) on my arms and legs to give them a glow. I think that works better than putting it on my face.
  • Esteè Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Concealer – Almost gone. Trying to finish up the last bit this month. This concealer has fantastic staying power!
  • Holika Holika Petit BB Cream Moisturizing – Nice Korean BB Cream. Cheap and good.
  • Esteè Lauder Ultra Brilliance High Gloss – I think this is in the shade “Berry” but the name worn of. I like this gloss, but it is getting old.
  • Colourpop Lippie Stix “Cookie” – Nice nude, and we all need those for everyday looks!
  • Kiko Gossamer Emotion Creamy Lipstick “106 – Mauve” – One of my favorite lipstick formulas from Kiko, I got four different shades but decided to stick with this one for now.
  • Clarins Fix Makeup setting spray – I really like this, and it is almost empty so I may get to finish it this month.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush “Traveled” – New and unused.
  • Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour Blush “Journey” – Also this one is new.
  • Nilens Jord 100 % Natural Minerals 530 – Old favorite of my bronzing powders

And that is all of them! Quite a list to get through, but I am as usual exited to play around with new and old products. There is just something exciting about changing up the makeup bag and making myself try out and explore more of my stuff!

I hope that if my knees won’t start arguing about running I will be able to run to work every day by February so you won’t have to have so many doubles of products next month. But until then I have tons of options both home and at work. Yay!

Do you have something new and exciting in your makeup bag? Or maybe you have a old favorite you would like to share?

What is in my makeup bag? – December 2017

New month means new products in my makeup bag I use to get ready to work. I have to rotate every month to make sure I get around to using more of my products instead of getting stuck on favorite products for ages. It is also an excellent opportunity to properly test out new makeup products, particularly those I aim to review. This month I got a mixture of new and old, and I even had to add one of my November favorites to the bundle.

Base products:

I eventually got to pale to continue wearing my big favorite at the moment, Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra, so I had to put that one away for a while. I didn’t have any new face product to test out so they are all products I’ve had for a while and wanted to pick up and use again.

  • The Saem – Eco Soul Real Fit Foundation: K-Beauty foundation I got maybe 6 months ago. The color is a good fit for me now, and the coverage is medium and the finish is almost matte.
  • Lirikos Marine Radiance Double Cover: A more radiant foundation than the first one, so I have some options. Does not have double cover like the name implies, but a nice medium one. Also a Korean brand.
  • Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Oil: One of my most treasured primers. Picked this one since I find that hydrating primers work better for me during winter months.
  • Colourpop Aventurine Crystal Setting Spray: Giving this one a new chance. Did try it when I first got it but I found that the spritz is way too aggressive. If I can’t make if work it will be downgraded to a wetting-my-brush-spray instead of a setting-spray.
  • History of Whoo Jewel Powder: This is the refillable travel compact because the powder comes in a gigantic container with 28 g of product. Really nice setting powder from a more luxurious Korean brand.
  • Cover FX Custom Enhancer drops in Celestial: Beautiful liquid highlighter. Primarily plan on mixing it with foundation to get that glowing skin.

Blush, bronzer and highlighters:

So much good stuff in this category. A nice mix of favorite products and new items to test out. I am currently working on a review of the Colourpop blushes so I figured I would add them to my everyday bag to get a solid impression of the different shades. I just could not part with my Violet Voss Rose Gold highlighter palette even though I have used it a lot lately, it was even among my monthly favorites, besides I didn’t really have that many new highlighters to try so I can give this one some more love. I just need to keep using it a bit more since it is so so pretty. Besides I tend to like that blush-but-no-bronzer look when I am winter pale so I figured it was suitable with a palette that contained shades that also work as a blush-toppers. I still want that glow you know! But let me just go through all the products with you one by one.

  • Isadora Bronzing Powder 94 Matte Tan: This is a bronzer I’ve used a lot and really like. It is so easy to apply, and the shade is not too dark or warm on me so it works great during winter. I just had to give this old favorite some love.
  • Makeup Revolution Dragons Heart highlighter: Orange and warm highlighter that I imagine works more as a blush-topper. Never tried it but excited to test it out. Looks a bit too glittery and chalky though.
  • Violet Voss Pro Highlighter Rose Hold: Featured in my November favorites, and still not able to put it back in the drawer. Need some more playtime with this in December.
  • Colourpop custom blush palette: Shade names are Why Hello, Parakeet, Weirdough, Noodle, Glass Slipper and Main Chick. A nice selection of shades and a chance to properly test out the Colourpop pressed pan blush formula.

Eye- makeup:

The most exciting part of the makeup bag is the new eyeshadow palettes I will play around with. I bought a bunch of Zoeva palettes lately and even though I cant put them all in my bag I look forward to play around with these to create my everyday makeuplooks, that for the record are a lot more wearable than the looks I present to you in this blog! Everyday-me is different than bold-and-creative-me.

  • Lancôme Volume-à-porter Mascara: Same mascara as last months makeup bag. I like it!
  • Zoeva Brow Spectrum: Handy brow-palette with every shade I need, including some stunning brow bone highlighters.
  • Zoeva Matte Eyeshadow Palette: Palette with matte warm oranges, reds and browns. Nice for warm everyday looks I think.
  • Zoeva Opulence Eyeshadow Palette: Nice selection om wearable shimmers and a few pops of color.
  • KIKO Color Impact Eyeshadow Palette 01 Lounge Warm Tones: Nice 6-shade palette with three mattes and three shimmers. This one is several years old and the formula is amazing. It looks like I may have a chance on hitting pan on one of the shades this month!
  • Zoeva Eyeshadow Fix Matte: Because the bag needs a primer.
  • Zoeva Graphic Brow Fix: And a brow gel to keep everything in place.

These products I am excited to play more with. 4 liquid lipsticks from three different brands in addition to two bullet lipsticks. Most of these products I haven’t had a chance to play with yet, so maybe I will discover a new favorite shade? Exciting!

  • Bare Minerals Matte Liquid lipstick in Cookie: Just tried this out shortly and first impression is good. They smell really good and the shade is nice. I kind of just want to smell it though!
  • Bare Minerals Matte Liquid Lipstick in Smooch: Same as above.
  • Makeup Revolution Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit in shade Echelon: A set with both lip liner and liquid lipstick. Obviously very inspired by Kylie lip-kits and I have no idea of what to expect. But the color is pretty!
  • Guerlain Intense Liquid Matte M06: I know what to expect from this one. This is a beautiful non-drying liquid lipstick, the shade is new to me, but I bought it because I have another one I really love.
  • Makeup Revolution Life On The Dance Floor Guest list  in shade Stiletto: I think this is a part of their Christmas Collection? Packaging is really pretty and so is the shade.
  • Makeup Revolution Renaissance Lipstick in shade Luxe: Tried this formula before and I like it, but the shade is new.

I think I mentioned them all now! All the nice things I will do my makeup with. I really enjoy putting together these monthly makeup bags because it really motivates me to do my makeup in the morning when I know I have exciting stuff to play around with. Do you do something similar to mix up what products you use?

My everyday makeupbag – November 2017

Just like last month I want to post my content in my everyday makeup bag. I change the contend at the beginning of every month, and I usually pick a range of different products. Some things I add to just finish them, some things are new thing I am testing out, and some things I just fond when I shopped my stash! So here it is, a picture of everything I will play around with to create my ready-to-kick-ass-at-work-face (it is usually more neutral and wearable than my play-around-with-makeup-face).

I love picking out products every month. It sounds weird but it really helps me to get up in the morning to know I have a bag of fresh products to play around with. Putting on makeup in the morning is my special me-time. I find it very relaxing, almost meditating to start my day with this ritual, so I tend to spent a good 20 minutes to do a full face of makeup. Just because I enjoy the process!

But lets talk more about these products and why I chose to put them in my daily routine!

  • Guerlain Meteorites Base Perfecting Pearls – Long time favorite. It was also featured in Octobers makeup bag, but I dont have much left and I want to finish this. It evens out my skintone and makes it look so fresh and plump. It is very expensive but I will definitely buy a new one when this is finished.
  • Lancôme Teinte Idole Ultra Wear – Nice coverage that still looks natural, lays beautifully on the skin throughout the day, and is long lasting. What else can you want from a foundation that needs to last you through your day at work?
  • Kiko face powder – Good powder to mattify the skin.
  • Guerlain Multi Perfecting Concealer – Makes my under-eye area look flawless without any creasing. Does not look heavy at all but still gives decent coverage. I think this may be my favorite concealer actually (Yes, I am one of those weirdos that does not think Tarte Shape Tape is the best thing in the world…..it is great….but not the best).
  • Guerlain bronzer – This is a limited edition product, but I generally think that Guerlain terracotta bronzers are a dream to work with (You probably guessed it by now…..it is one of my favorite brands) and this one is no exception. If you can find a color that suits you they look fantastic. i am excited to pick this up again and use it this month, it has been laying in my drawer for too long!
  • Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter – I already posted a post comparing this one to the Cover FX Custom Enhancer Drops, so if you want to know how they compare you get the whole story here.
  • Makeup Revolution Skin Kiss – Shade is “Ice Kiss”. I bought this during last winter I think and tried it for a while. I did never get very fond of it, but I figured it was time to play a bit more around with it again. I may like it now, even if I didn’t love it before. Sometimes products just takes some time getting used to.
  • NYX blush palette – This guy is brand new. I just picked it up among a few other thing on sale without looking too much at it, but after swatching and trying a few of the shades I am so glad I did. I think I will really like this!
  • NYX Duo Chromatic Illuminating Powder – Duochrome highlighter with a pink shift. This one is also new, just swatched, so I am happy to get to play a bit with it now.
  • NYX dewy finish setting spray – Almost out so I am just trying to finish it.

  • The Balm Meet Matt(e) Nude – New everyday palette.
  • The Balm Meet Matt(e) Trimony – Also a new eyeshadow palette.
  • The Balm Meet Matt(e) Adore – Agian, new everyday palette.
  • H&M Single eyeshadow shade “Urban Jungle” – I really like these single eyeshadows from H&M. I tried one for the first time, with not too high hopes, but I actually ended up picking up several of them because I like the ones I have so much. This is a new shade, but it is so pretty!
  • Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencil in shade “Zero” – Almost out of this one. Trying to finish it.
  • Zoeva eyeshadow primer – What I use for everyday recently. Matte shade.
  • Anastasia dipbrow pomade in “Medium Brown” – This is featured in ALL my makeuplooks as you may have seen. So yest, this is a hit!

  • Makeupgeek Plush Matte “Marriage Material” – Quite a recent purchase. Tied it a few times and I really like it, want to use it a bit more.
  • NYX Liquid Suede “Soft Spoken” – Well known product, but new shade.
  • Makeup Revolution Renaissance Lipstick VOX – New product.
  • Makeup Revolution Iconic Pro Lipstick “You’re A Star” – Also a new lippie.
  • Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip “Nine to Five” – The freebie they handed out when you ordered during their 5 million subscribers celebration. Didn’t get a chance to try it, so now I will give it a fair test!

Phew! I think that is all products for this month! The only exception is the L’Oreal Paradise Extatic mascara I forgot to put in the picture. I am sure you will see more of these products again in either favorites or review posts. Let me know if there is anything in particular you would like a review from!
