Maybelline Snapscara Mascara – Review!

Maybelline usually have a good grip about mascaras. I don’t love all off them, naturally since they do different things for your lashes, but I have tried my share of great mascaras from Maybelline to know they know their business. For instance I am a big fan of the Total Temptation mascara, and they are one of my go-to drugstore brands for mascara if I want to gamble and try a new one. So off course the Snapscara mascara got my attention.

The mascara claims to be super easy to put on and take off, hence the name Snapscara. It can be removed with just warm water and is supposed to give volume and definition to your lashes. Well, it’s easy to remove that’s for sure. You can remove it with warm water, but I have to say, using a makeup remover does make it disappear in a snap. Warm water works but it’s less…snappy.

I don’t agree that this mascara gives volume. I haven’t had a mascara making my lashes look so natural as this does in a long time. It gives a bit of length, but it does not give much volume. They kind of make my lashes look very very natural, and voluminous is not a work that comes to mind. The whole look it gives is just very underwhelming. This is for sure more suited for someone who prefers a natural lash, and if you are one of those it could actually be great.

Because despite the fact that I don’t really like how it looks on my lashes it does not smudge under my eyes, and it holds up pretty nicely throughout the day. No panda eyes in my experience which is pretty good for a mascara you can just remove with water.

For me personally this was a miss and I will not pick this one up again. I could totally see this working for someone who want a natural look, and value being able to just rub of the mascara in a quick shower without having to use makeup remover.

Have you tried this mascara? What are your thoughts on it?
