2018 is over and so is my year long project pan. Don’t worry, I had so much fun panning that I will continue with another project in 2019, but it’s time to do a summary of my 2018 project to see how it went and what goals I managed to reach, and also which ones I failed. This project was my first ever proper project pan, so I feel like I gained some experience on how to do a year long project. So I feel better prepared for my 2019 project. You can read the introduction of the project here if you know all the products I started out with.
I did reach all my goals on finishing foundations, BB Creams and powders. The last face base product I finished was this History of Woo Jewel Loose Powder. I really enjoyed the product, but the container is HUGE with 28 grams that lasted me almost a full year! I will not buy it again just for the bulky packaging. but the powder itself is really nice if you don’t mind storing it.
I also finished the Adopt Eau de Parfum Thè Blanc. I will not buy another one of this. I do like the smell, even though it is a bit simple, maybe more suitable for a younger audience than me to be honest. My main issue with it was that the scent did not last on me. Maybe just an hour or so. It was nice to do it if I just felt like refreshing myself, but not something I will run out and buy. At least I got my use out 9of it thanks to my project.
I also finished all my lip products. But I had already finished them on my last update.
The Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer is one of my fails. I was so sure I would be able to hit pan in December since I have been seeing the pattern in the tin pan through the product for a while. Annoyingly enough I think I can probably hit pan on any use now. I was considering to transfer this to my 2019 project pan, but I think I will wait and see. I need a little break from this product even though I really like it.
I did hit pan on the NARS Zen blush though. This blush I use as a bronzer because a brownish pink works nicely as a bronzing shade on me in winter.
The GloMinerals Globlush in Papaya was a real struggle. I really thought I picked a blush that would be fairly easy to pan since it#s not overly pigmented, not too hard pressed, and has only3,4 g of product. Oh, was I wrong! I can barely see some usage in the pan but I am nowhere close of getting pan. And this blush has been used 4-5 times every week for a year! I did not know panning a blush would be this hard. It made me realize that I won’t be having a blush in next years project pan. I feel like I need to get some use out of more of my blush collection and rotate a bit more instead of focusing on just one.
Lastly, all of the palettes I’ve picked out has pan in one shade (which was my goal). Off course they are mainly base shades and transition shades, but I am pretty happy about hitting pan on my first yellow eyeshadow ever! I could not imagined that a few years ago so that was extra fun.
So just to make a summare of everything that went down this year!

All in all I am quite happy. Except that never ending blush, and that Too Faced bronzer that I am soo soooo close to hit pan on, I managed to reach all my goals. Maybe I made it a bit easy for myself, but why make something that should be fun hard right? At least my goals of making some of my products seem more used, get some good use out of things, and finish a few base products was successful!
I will be doing another project pan for 2019 too, because this was fun! I have already picked the items, heck I started thinking about what to pick even back in October, so I will be getting on finishing that post too, and hopefully you can read all about my new project pan adventures!
