Throwback Thursday Makeup Look – Tarina Tarantino Jewel Shadow Palette!

Not only did I use an old palette for this look, I also used a fairly unknown one. I just randomly stumbled upon the brand several years ago and picked up one of her Jewel shadow palettes in the shade “Wonderful”.

The packaging really is stunning. Very well put together, solid, heavy plastic case with secure closing, and a beautiful duo-chrome lid with details. The packaging itself looks like a jewel case, hence the name maybe?

The inside is 5 nicely arranged greens and browns. I used to use this a lot back when I got it so I completely forgot about the quality. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is very good! Shadows performed, applied and blended without any issues.

I created two looks for this throwback thursday makeup look post, just to be sure to use all the shades in the palette.

No doubt I am a fan. And since the darker shades with tiny glitter flecks look as good as matte no the lid, it is completely possible to make a cohesive look (or two) out of this. I am so happy with how it worked that I feel like I need to have this in my everyday makeup bag for June!

It is always fun when you pick out an old palette to try that you haven’t tried for ages and you remember how good they are and want to keep on using them. This is why I love doing these Throwback Thursday posts. It makes me shop my stash and rediscover old favorites.

Did you find any old treasures in your collection that you forgot about lately?

XOXO
