Throwback Thursday Makeuplook – Sigma Paris Eyeshadow Palette!

The Sigma Paris palette was a limited edition palette released in 2012. It was a collab with 6 beauty YouTubers creating this palette deciding everything from the shades, packaging brushes and so on.

The result: Very pretty! It has different 8 eyeshadow shades and 3 blushes. It also came with 2 brushes. One angled blush brush and one eyeshadow brush. I still have them both and they are still going strong! I find the travel size blush brush to be perfect for my face since I am quite small and normal sized blush brushes are a bit too big.

I hardly use this palette, and I was surprised to realize it is actually probably around 5 years (I didn’t buy it upon release, but just when it was getting discontinued). The shades are really pretty, but as you can see there are none of those important basic shades in here, so I had to call for Urban Decay Ultimate Basics for some assistance. With her help I managed to kind of pull together two looks, and here they are!

One thing that is really nice is that every single shade is named after a monument or famous tourist attraction in Paris. If I ever go to Paris it would be only suitable to bring this palette, even though it it super big and bulky.

The blushes are really pretty too. Lumière is my clear favorite.

This is still possible to get your hands on for particularly eager collectors, but you’d have to expect to pay a bit more than the original 56$, which puts it in an uncomfortable price-range. Which it is not worth in my opinion. The shadows are beautiful, but the do have a lot of fallout and needs a good spray of fix + (or something similar) to get full opacity. So they do work, but they are not excellent compared to the standard we see now. I think a lot have happened with eyeshadow quality the last 5 year!

If you are lucky enough to own it, it’s a very pretty piece that well deserves some attention!

XOXO

Mufavorites!
