It is Throwback Thursday and time to pull one of my old goodies out of my drawers and enjoy their company a bit.
If you read my Makeup Colleciton 2018 – Small Eyeshadow Palettes blog-post you have already seen this recently. I have three of these Estée Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Quads in different shades and I used to use them quite frequently some years ago, but lately they have been just hanging in my drawers.
I think my preference for eyeshadows have changed since I played with these last time, because I remember I used to think they were quite good, but today I found them a bit too sheer. They do blend very effortlessly though, and I guess for a subtle daylook they work excellent and they are quite user-friendly. I just prefer shadows with strong pigmentation these days. Especially when making a look I want to post.
Since the shadows are great for simple and classic daytime makeup looks I found it a bit boring in the end for a look I wanted to publish on my blog. So I decided to add a little bit of glam with one of my new Colourpop Supernova Eyeshadows. I have to try out new stuff too after all!
- Estée Lauder Signature Eyeshadow Quad “Berry Quartz” – All shades.
- Urban Decay 24/7 eye pencil – Zero.
- Colourpop Supernova Eyeshadow – UF-Woah.
- MakeupGeek Gel Liner – Poinson.
- Kiko Smart Eye Pencil – 802.
- L’Oreal Mega Volume Miss Baby Roll Mascara – Black.
- Zoeva Brow Spectrum – Bro60.
- Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner 24h – Black.
- Ardell Fauxmink Lashes – 810.
I guess I would be happy to use this for everyday looks, where I just want to slap on something fool-proof and easy in the morning. For that cause this palette work just fine, but if you like heavy pigment they just don’t cut it. The shadows are not bad in quality they are just meant for more simple and classic makeup rather than boosting your creativity and challenging your skills with out-of-this world pigmentation.
For everyday use this is a nice little quad.
