Urban Decay Naked Heat Makeup look

I immediately fell in love with the color story of the Urban Decay Naked Heat eyeshadow palette. OK, I know the makeup community got its share of warm toned eyeshadow palettes lately, but it is just something about these Urban Decay Naked palettes. The packaging this time was stunning, and it just looks so pretty and intriguing. Sure, I can dupe all the shadows with what I have in the rest of my collection, but what is the fun with that! Besides I already had Naked 1, Naked 2, Naked 3 and Naked Smoky so it would be a shame to miss out. I am a collector after all!

I really like the palette. the quality is good and it is great for those neutral, warm everyday looks. But one drawback is that some of the shades are very similar, which makes it a bit harder to be very creative with looks. Nothing that some gold liner and some pearls could not fix though! So this is my take on doing a glam look with this pretty little everyday palette (That is if you need more than that sultry dark, shimmery smoky look that you can also easily create with this palette).

Off course I used the Naked Heat palette for this look. The hearts in the picture indicates what shades I used. The rest of the products used are listed below:

  • Zoeva Eyeshadow Fix primer – Matte.
  • Anastasia dipbrow pomade “Medium Brown”.
  • Makeupgeek Cosmetics gel liner “Immortal”.
  • Maybelline Master Drama Kohl Liner “Ultra Noir/Ultra Black”.
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eyepencil “Honey”.
  • Physicians Formula Shimmer Strips Extreme Shimmer Kohl Kajal (They come in a trio with black, brown and gold. I used the gold shade).
  • Nailart pearls (ebay).
  • Lashes (unbranded ebay).

The looks was very simple to create. I just made a dark smoky eye with the shades from the palette. Then I drew on the gold cut crease with the Urban Decay eyepencil in “Honey” and went over it with the glitter liner by Physicians Formula (I also dabbet this a bit in the inner corner). The pearls are glued on with lash glue and voila! the look is done.
